Send this Church requests for booklets on Revelations.
« on: December 07, 2020, 02:26:50 PM »
I have several of them and merely confirm what I've personally felt for many years. The most important ones are THE BEAST and AMERICA AND ENGLAND in the end times. Lots of good reading and pretty well express my personal beliefs after many years of reading God's words.
Go to the website, find brochures and the beast. You can read the whole thing. In fact you can likely read all of the brochures online.  My rime, as well as the world is getting shorter every day.

TomorrowsWorld.net aka the CULT of Herbert W. Armstrong assisted by offspring Garner Ted Armstrong created after he was booted out of the Church of God for scriptural heresy .

And that's the Revelation (without the s) of John.

Think I'll pass

Careful Charlie;
  The reason they stress England and America so strongly, is because like the old Herbert W. Armstrong ministry, they are mired in the British~Israeli error, or "Replacement theology"..

  This mistaken idea says that the "lost tribes of ancient Israel", migrated to, and are today's England..and we Americans by way of our British heritage..are part of those "lost
 tribes".  ..A key idea of Mormonism.

  They believe that today's Israel are imposters from a foreign tribe, and bear no relationship to for instance, Isaiah, Jeremiah, David or any of the Biblical authors. If you recall, old Herbert W. Armstrong called his ministry, "The World Tomorrow"!

  They have a Facebook page.. https://www.facebook.com/tomorrowsworld/   Notice, they don't offer a great deal in the line of their regular sermons.  instead, they offer books..a regular series of books which gradually lead one down their 'primrose path' .

  Check with your pastor.  Ask him about "replacement theology" .

I'd check that Bible you say you've been readin all these years. If it agrees with Herbert W Armstrong, and ole Garner Ted, I burn it.

TomorrowsWorld is right in there with Mormonism, Catholicism, and JEHOVAH Witnesses.
Armstrong got the boot out of the Church of God right out seminary when he started  teaching that stuff on radio in about 1934-35. He made all that crap up himself after 3 or 4 attempts at legitimate  businesses.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    First things first... I am not "pixilated" on the FWD vs RWD debate.
 Before your post, I doubted that anyone was even questioning the superiority of FWD over RWD, so far as deep snow is concerned.  It seems that nobody here in the snow belt questions that anymore.  So, I decided to check with NHSTA (national highway safety transportation administration) to see what they endorsed.   Here is what they say..
   https://www.motorists.org/blog/winter-driving-rwd-fwd-awd-4wd/
  Now, for your concern of my criticism of "The World Tomorrow" errors, do you endorse their error?  Did you not read my post?  Did you not understand that I was pointing out the errors of replacement theology?  ...Or do you endorse the British~Israeli story?
  Frpm the above link;
  " The upside: FWD cars can actually be pretty tenacious in the snow because the weight of the engine/transaxle is sitting right on top of the drive wheels. FWD is vastly better in the snow than a rear-wheel-drive car. With a good set of all-season or snow tires, you will probably be able to make it to work unless the snow is really deep — in which case it’s the absence of ground clearance more than anything else that will cause you to get stuck. FWD is also more economical — both to buy “up front” and to operate over the life of the vehicle."
  So far as ground clearance is concerned, it depends upon the vehicle.
  No, his question sounds to me, more like an accusation of some kind.. However, he should perhaps reword his below statement, since it is a bit incomprehensible;
Well, I've read Revelations, and I've read a couple of books by a writer of that time, (Josephus) who was a sort of newsman, and have concluded that Revelations was written for the first century Christians who were being persecuted and murdered, giving them some hope for the future.
One thing I keyed on was Armageddon, which described horses in blood up to their bridles and flesh melting from the bones of the people.
Josephus described the last destruction of Jerusalem as the horses having blood "ON" then up to their bridles, and the fires in the city was so hot that flesh seemed to melt from the bones.
We know that horses won't be used in some great nuclear battle. (It might happen when Iran gets the bomb)
IMHO, Revelations was written so that the mucky mucks of the time couldn't understand them but the Christians might.
  Perhaps you will translate it then..in your own words.
  For instance..Who are those "dudes" who are a friend of mine?
   Who is my "reliable friend" that I can count upon.?
  Who are the members of a certain "circle of trust"?
  What is the 'dark side' of which I know nothing about?
  Unless/until you can answer those questions, I will still wonder what kind of 'sense' it makes for you....or for me.
  Perhaps Bob will hazard an explanation of those statements by him!
The Bible was written using metaphors, symbolism, parables, literalism, past, present, and future.
Because of this intentional "style" by numerous Bible authors, all inspired  by God Himself. "Spiritual Discernment" and "a believers heart" are a requirement for "Rightly Dividing The Word".
Scripture backs up, and supports other Scripture. Nothing is out of order.
The Book of Daniel supports, and backs up The Revelation of John.
But like the Holy Trinity, anyone who says they can explain it, or claims to fully understand The Revelation of John, should be avoided.
   Your explanation above is common knowledge.  ..But you STILL answered none of my questions in reply #17, so I will take that as you can't interpret the statement either.
  BTW:  Daniel 11 &12 are rich inprophecy, much to be fulfilled, as is Ezekielfrom Ch 24 on, especially in chs 37 & 38.
  Then there is Isaiah, filled with prophecy.  Chs 52 & 53 provide a beautiful picture of Jesus' incarnation on earth..and what follows down through the ages...
Apparently its not common knowledge as the op drove Revelation off the cliff.
As far as Bobs post, and my not explaining it to you. You can take it any way you want to take it (you usually do), but I ain't Bobs' daddy, nor do I saddle his horses for him. Just because it went over your head, doesn't mean it did everyone elses.
He made the post, you don't understand it, and he can explain it if he chooses.
IG, my statement on FWD vs RWD was a little bit of sarcasm,  but I LIKE  your post, nothing more but what I said of TWT, when I was young and IGNORANT, I  knew, none of the details that one can now find and have a revelation as to what was really being preached as compared to what the Bible says and what other doctrines are preaching.
But the remembrances of the old TV shows, regardless of knowledge known now, such ones especially the ones you might hear near station sign off or on Sunday morning after church , regardless of what one now knows the details of -- still bring back fond memories of very pleasant times past, similar to Christmas and other Christian celebration days gatherings.
Lets not assume folks are out to get you, most times they aren't. Don't bring old differences here.
I'm too messed up from that pain pill I took when I got home from doctor visit to say more for now.
