Live Updates: FBI holds update on Capitol riot investigation as House moves toward impeachment
The riots hit the Capitol last Wednesday.

What does the future of the GOP look like after Capitol rioting?
The FBI and federal prosecutors provided an update Tuesday on their ongoing effort to find and charge individuals who participated in the riot at the U.S. Capitol last week.

The FBI has already opened more than 160 case files since its investigation began, an official said at a press conference. Acting US Attorney for DC Michael Sherwin expects "hundreds" of criminal cases to be filed against people who participated in the Capitol riot within the next several weeks.

Meanwhile, House of Representatives is moving toward a second impeachment vote in the coming days as outrage about the president's role in the storming of the Capitol by his supporters last week continues to reverberate throughout Washington, D.C.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the House will take two major steps toward impeaching Trump, which would make him the only president to be impeached twice.

Ok. Several dozen knuckleheads physically break into the Capitol building in DC, "WHILE CONGRESS IS IN SESSION".

Now everybody is acting gutshot, and outraged, that the FBI is investigating said knuckleheads, and everybody there.

Really? Nobody gets that?

I think he's just pointing out the hypocrisy of the FBI. Cities were literally burning to the ground all summer. CHAZ/CHOP was occupied by communists for months and the FBI was nowhere to be found.

The FBI is like every other federal agency. If they aren't doing anything, the general public is better off.
As a general rule, FBI agents, are either lawyers, or accountants by trade before joining the FBI.

They usually move pitifully slow, unless working on political figures. Then they either don't work at all, or are super aggressive, depending on party.
