What’s the opinion on AR 15s

Sell now while we can.

Or keep and hope we don’t lose them.

We don’t have long to decide.

So I guess this is a question instead of an answer, but are you  anticipating your 2nd Amendment going away?

I know a lot of people who love them.....Sam put one in my hands (M16) many years ago.....I never wanted one after that....figured if I ever need one they'll be plenty of blood covered ones laying around....

I'm thinking the best thing the Democrats could do would be to take them.....maybe then, if it's not to late.....it'll wake the country up.....Got a buddy who loves them.....voted for Biden.....so IMO, it would be poetic justice.....

That said.....a ban won't fix the left's perceived problems with them.....and they'll be coming after the handguns next.

If they want to confiscate like the Aussies did I won't be voluntarily handing mine in. They'll have to come to my house if they want it.

My opinion on ARs  ,  The gun liability laws Biden  has plans to implement by executive order will dry up any future manufacturing  if not completely put  gun  companies out of business . We are forced to buy car insurance look for the same if you own a firearm .

Your forced to buy car insurance because most folks can't afford, or refuse to repair or replace someone else's car when they run into it.

It's far different from the AR15 issue being discussed.

my guess is unless they want this country to come apart they wont ban them. What likely will happen is the ban of future sales and a ban of high capasity mags is about a certianty but again it would be the ban of future sales. I dont think they could handle the paper work involved in registering all ar15s ar15 pistols and the even more insane idea of serial numbering high capasity mags and registering them. But this is just opinion. I have no idea how crazy those sobs will get in the end.

I think they are great hunting rifles.  A majority of my friends use them for coyote hunting.

Years ago I have to admit I didn't like AR's, I was all about blued steel and walnut. That all changed when I decided to buy my first AR. I noticed immediately that I was more accurate with the AR than any other rifle I've ever owned. Now I am strictly an AR guy when it comes to hunting with a rifle. I took this 8 pointer 2 seasons ago with a handloaded 5.56. I hit him in the heart, he dropped immediately then got up and went about 40 yards before he was done.

My next AR build is going to be old school with A1 buttstock and triangle handguards. I'm going to use an A1 style pencil barrel as well.

Especially if you have the rifleing for the 62 gr hornady bullets. Took down an antelope at 200 yards with it.

  What's my opinion of AR15s ?

Well, they are a good rifle, battle proven, a versatile cartridge..and a better arm that the terrorists use (AK).
Beyond that, I don't have one because I prefer the traditional style rifles...not into Mattel.

Two of my grandsons each have them... but I suspect that if the new tyrants go after any guns, it  will be Ars and AKs.

Believing ones guns are safe as long as they aren't AR15s is as foolish as thinking that some Democrats will do the right thing.

When they get all the ARs gathered up, they'll come after the rest.

I downsized from an Modern Sporting Rifle to a Modern Sporting Pistol in the past two weeks and I like it so much more. In the process I’ll note that new gun owners are most likely to buy a 9mm pistol firs and then an AR. These are not traditional gun buyers, and as many voted for Biden as didn’t. I don’t see enforcement of any new legislation finding eager compliance.

Very true. After Australia confiscated the AR's and AK's they went after pump shotguns next. Full disarmament is always the goal of tyrants.

If they succeed in banning the ARs, might as well
stick em in the back of the safe or grease it up and
bury it.  You won't be able to carry it anywhere and
use it, or if you use it in self defense at the least you'll
lose it and not get it back, if they don't just throw
you under the jail. I don't see any law enforcement
knocking on the door to come pick it up, but they'll
catch you out and about with it or get you when you're
using it. Either way, keeping it and not being able to
utilize it would be kind of useless

with the millions out there they will have to overhaul our entire justice system to keep up with the arrests. personaly i think unless we get so stupid as to talk militia take overs and threatening violence they know they dont have much constitution right to come after them for no reason. Now they sure will try but they also know what there up against. MILLIONS of gun owners. But just like at the captial where a few idiots made us all look bad and emboldened them. A few idiots talking rebellion is going to fast track any new gun legislation and those idiots WILL be held up like trophies to push there agenda. What we need is level headed solidarity. Just look at even this forum. dont know how many times ive heard people say they could care less about ar15s or glocks. Dont know how many times ive hear people bashing the NRA and not willing to give them 10 bucks a year to fight for our rights. Even on a very conservative gun forum theres people not willing to stand up  for something they dont own. Want to make some noise and be counted. What if a million more conservatives went out this week and bought an a new ar15 or bought one with that welfare money the goverments to to send you. Heck that check is enough for a new ar15 and a life memebership in the nra. Can you imagine the fear we would put into them if a million more ars were bought and a million more nra members signed up this month!!!!! I cant think of a better way to thank Biden and his socialists for handing out money then to use it to arm America. I can just see the look on AOC's and pelosi's faces. theyd be heading for the bunkers.

Just like everything the left does..gun confiscation will be a 'progressive' thing (pun intended).  It will be the black rifles first,,then on to the others, the same way they have done , and will do to all our freedoms.

Sadly though, many of our friends and neighbors are still absorbed in fun and games.  We have virtual hysteria around here among some, simply because a local pro football team is now in the finals.

I have shot a couple of AR15's and they were okay but prefer my bolt actions, pumps and single shots. Never really had the desire to own one. I did consider an AR10 for a while but decided against it.

I don't see Biden, his team and the dems backing off of trying to ban every single firearm possible. They are driven by their lust for power and ideology and common sense will not prevail. The capitol invasion scared them to death and their natural instinct is to clamp down and force everyone to obey them. It looks like sad days ahead for our country and I am convinced they are trying to force a civil/social war and they believe the military and federal police will blindly follow orders and participate in the ripping up of constitutional rights and suppressing, oppressing and persecuting anyone that doesn't support them.

If someone is basing their gun ownership on the Biden administration their most likely more scared of perceived freedoms and costs of those freedoms and probably should sell, or give away all their guns.
