Just saw a show on PBS about the Guilded Age and the depression of the late 1890s.
We were taught this in high school but I am sure that does not happen any more, but even at that it was a refresher as to how and why this country has ended up like it is now.
The odd thing is Democrats and Republicans have traded sides, but big business is still the Satan that controls the country.

Having watched the show, nothing has changed in this country since then, names have changed but same shite, same pile.
