Amazon music
« on: January 26, 2021, 12:50:03 PM »
I ordered something from Amazon that gave me 90 days of Amazon music free as a bonus. I can't remember what I ordered but I finally took advantage of the offer today. Darn, there is a lot of music available from them. I have no radio station to listen to in the jeep as the one station that played my type of music changed it's format to something that sounds like a bunch of cats fighting in trash cans and all I have is that, whinny pop music, and CW available on the dial. I had been making do with my old ipod blutoothed to the radio but my ipod finally almost gave up the ghost. I have around 900 songs on it and it will no longer do anything but play and repeat one song until I change it manually which I don't want to mess with while driving. That's about the same as texting while driving to me. I put the Amazon app on my phone so I can just fire up Amazon and listen to my heart's content and have access to artists I have never even heard of if I wish. I may have to keep this after the free part runs out. It works in my garage turned shop with my old Pioneer stereo with the addition of a blutooth receiver.

We ordered some movies and music CD's from Amazon right before they went Parler and Trump crazy. It took three weeks for them to show up.

I may rethink keeping Amazon after the free period is over. Browsing around I found Freegal Music.com through the Hobbs Library where I'm a member. 15 million plus songs, all for free. I will see how the two compare but I always like the free part already.

I have had a couple of things that took awhile to be delivered from Amazon but it showed what the delivery date would be when I ordered.

Hobbs had that?

Yep. All you need is a Hobbs library card and pin number to set up an account. I had forgotten my pin and had to call the library to find out what is was. I put the app on my phone and the website on my computer. It's also available thru some other libraries.

On a side note I got my old ipod to working again today. I let it sit for several months and tried the very same procedure that I did when it lost it's mind. It worked this time around. Don't know why but it did.
