Dems want us to pay for other's college debts.

It doesn't make for much common sense..for several reasons..

  1) These are debts the debtor volunteered for.

 2) How does the young person who eschewed college get treated in like manner..perhaps a hundred thousand  or so to aid a business venture?

  3) Surely you don't expect these same people to pay for someone else's education, which perhaps they could not afford for themselves!

 4) Why does college tuitions go on at the same rate, when the student is not getting but a portion of the services due him/her?

  5) Since the schools are operating at such a low key, could be they should close temporarily.  Perhaps it is time those instructors had a taste of what other working people endure.  It could be a "teachable moment' for them!

  6) Is it sensible that the public pay many thousands for somebody who majored in "social justice" or "women's studies" and cannot find gainful work?

  7) Perhaps they would like to pay for my grandchildren's mortgages...  Would that be a just decision?

Let's reward kids who were dumb enough to go that deep into debt. The sickening thing is none of these kids would qualify for a car loan or a mortgage but because we the taxpayers guarantee their loans they qualify for $200,000 in student loans. The government created this problem and now the "solution" is ripping off the taxpayer even more in the name of getting more Democrat voters.

we took out a 30k loan for my step son. WE TOOK IT OUT NOT YOU. WE WILL PAY IT NOT YOU. He had an option if He and us didnt want student load debt. He could have went in the service and got the GI bill just like 95 percent of the people in college today could have.

Well, they bailed out GM didn't they?  So, why not the college kids.....

That's satire fellows.....this is like the proposal for paying reparations, people who never owned slaves are supposed to pay people who have never been slaves.

So, instead of bailing out college kids, why not send the $50,000 to combat wounded and disabled veterans?  They did something to deserve it.

We're already paying for 12 years of "public" education, so this proposal will be followed up by "free" (taxpayer funded) college education for all.

  BINGO!  Right ^^^THERE^^^, they could have earned their education in the military!  In fact, just BEING IN the military, would give them a good start on the actual education they need most !
