Looking forward to summer..
« on: February 15, 2021, 06:12:50 AM »
So you want to take the whole family somewhere that they will remember.. try the "Ark Encounter" !

I visited it about a year and a half ago..great display, courteous crowds and memories made.
The Ark itself is very impressive, even from the parking lot, a half mile distant.  The Ark sits on a hill about half a mile away, and the visitor takes a shuttle bus, down into the valley and up the hill to the Ark.

Do I completely agree with every detail?  No, but the differences are very minor and  there is plenty of Biblical space to cover alll pour beliefs.

You see that long ramp beside the Ark..that is repeated for each floor in the ark.. since animals may have trouble negotiating stairs..

A good day to b enjoyed..and there are various discounts on tickets.. like veterans etc..

Thanks for the video.
Nancy and I plan to go there as soon as it’s safe to travel.

I am not one to visit most  such attractions.. i have gladly driven pased by such things as Disney world and others, but the Ark is different!

IO enjoyed it greatly..and do cherish the memory. Although I was a bit pressed for time, and spent only 2-3 hours there..it could have easily stretched into a full day.
If one wanted to spend a couple days there, the Creation museum is only "40 minutes" away...and if you are a history buff like me, the site of Daniel Boone's original Boonesboro fort is just down the road, half a dozen miles south of Winchester..

Nothing wrong with that!  "getting around slow", may be just another way of saying you are truly savoring the experience!  ;)  ;D

I think I WILL savor that experience.
My wife and I take lots of pictures and we re-live our trips over and over.
