..And that team is apparently not alone..  It looks like research is going on, sponsored by the Turkish government.

The search continues..  Don't know what they have here..  The unique thing about this one is that the building/structure/ark... whatever it is, is made of wood...and very large timbers at that!

Buildings in that area are primarily of stone, and it would seem that there would be plenty of stone on the mountain to  supply enough materials for conventional building practices.

If these photos are actually at an elevation enough to be involved in the snow cap, Hauling such large timbers up the mountain that far, would be nearly, if not entirely impossible.

It suggests that if the structure is of such large timbers, and located that high on the mountainside, it could not have been built on location, but some other place, and somehow it was transported to the spot where it now rests..

Is there a more logical way for it to have gotten there, that floating there on water?

I haven't heard anyone here say the y believe it is the ark !  ...And for that very reason, my OP was posed as a question.

Even National Geo did not simply pass off the discovery as some kind of publicity stunt.  They too asked the question.  ..And please note they didn't seem to question the structure's existence, and at that elevation.

    https://www.nationalgeographic.com/adventure/article/100428-noahs-ark-found-in-turkey-science-religion-culture#:~:text=Noah%27s%20Ark%20Location%20in%20Turkey,film%20crew%20in%20October%202009.

The photos are about a decade old, and comments have been made each way

   can only add other questions...
  A)  Unlike other very high mountains, such as Mt Everest, Denali, The Zugspitz, K2 etc, are among other mountains, simply rising above their neighbors.  Ararat rises almost alone from the plains, to about 16, 8900 feet, so it is a tough climb for any human or animal.

  B) There are some huge timbers involved in the structure, which is at over 13,000 feet.  Just how easy was it for man or animal to haul those timbers that far up the mountain, and for what reason?

  C) the description seems to point out long halls with compartments.  If so, it wouldn't likely be a shed to store air ships, and the elevation precludes submarine pens.  Professional offices perhaps..or a mini-mall ?   ;)  ;D

  D) Seriously though,  what are the chances, that either humans or animals carried those timbers to that elevation?

  E) A large wooden structure could  e elevated to that height by a massive flood however.  ..But we have heard that story before, and many scoff at the possibility of such a flood.

  F) Finally, I only offered the piece as a mind exercise, we really should not decide to simply pass such things off as a  fraud, without at least taking a look.

I try to keep a reasonably open mind to such things, even though most such "discoveries", turn out to be false.

Before Barnum had a circus, he did have a travelling rare animal show.  There is a story which says... One day he brought his show to a small, rural Kansas town.  The local folks toured the show and enjoyed the animals, such as would not normally be found in Kansas.
One farmer. likely less read than most, suspiciously approached the cage where a giraffe was kept.  After closely observing the giraffe for some minutes, he declared.."There ain't no such animal"!

The moral to the story, for me... Just because something seems improbable to me, that doesn't mean it is impossible.

I'm not saying this is or is not, but do you reject out of hand, the information we are provided in (Genesis 6-9)?

..And BTW..perhaps you can explain the verbal picture you were trying to paint...."heard it had a "FOUNTIAN" sticker on the side and two big blocks."

I'm a firm believer that there was a flood of some kind, maybe localized, maybe worldwide, and that an ark was built and sailed with animals aboard.
So, it landed on a mountain somewhere and I really hope it's discovered and shown to the world.
It might bring some people to GOD, and that's what I like to see.

The one that really interested me. Was what was found at the bottom of the Red Sea. During a dredging project. No other explanation for that, it was what it really was. Bronze, copper parts shaped like parts to a cart, wagon , or a chariot.

No matter what field, sometimes real discoveries are simply ignored.  I am not saying that any mentioned so far are in that class...but we don't know, and won't know, unless those who should investigate these things, do so.
Nat Geo did mention the structure outlined in the article, but they should have, in keeping with their reputation, followeed up, investigating the claims.

I didn't notice in the video where that team involved, claimed the structure to be an ark, it seems they emphasized "structure"!  I could have missed it though..
