Greetings!

I have to share bad news with you.
Approximately few months ago I have gained access to your devices, which you use for
internet browsing.
After that, I have started tracking your internet activities.

Here is the sequence of events:
Some time ago I have purchased access to email accounts from hackers (nowadays, it
is quite simple to purchase such thing online).
Obviously, I have easily managed to log in to your email account
(pattynchas@bbtel.com).

One week later, I have already installed Trojan virus to Operating Systems of all
the devices that you use to access your email.
In fact, it was not really hard at all (since you were following the links from your
inbox emails).
All ingenious is simple. =)

This software provides me with access to all the controllers of your devices (e.g.,
your microphone, video camera and keyboard).
I have downloaded all your information, data, photos, web browsing history to my
servers.
I have access to all your messengers, social networks, emails, chat history and
contacts list.
My virus continuously refreshes the signatures (it is driver-based), and hence
remains invisible for antivirus software.

Likewise, I guess by now you understand why I have stayed undetected until this
letter...

While gathering information about you, I have discovered that you are a big fan of
adult websites.
You really love visiting porn websites and watching exciting videos, while enduring
an enormous amount of pleasure.
Well, I have managed to record a number of your dirty scenes and montaged a few
videos, which show the way you masturbate and reach orgasms.

If you have doubts, I can make a few clicks of my mouse and all your videos will be
shared to your friends, colleagues and relatives.
I have also no issue at all to make them available for public access.
I guess, you really don't want that to happen, considering the specificity of the
videos you like to watch, (you perfectly know what I mean) it will cause a true
catastrophe for you.

Let's settle it this way:
You transfer $950 USD to me (in bitcoin equivalent according to the exchange rate at
the moment of funds transfer), and once the transfer is received, I will delete all
this dirty stuff right away.
After that we will forget about each other. I also promise to deactivate and delete
all the harmful software from your devices. Trust me, I keep my word.

This is a fair deal and the price is quite low, considering that I have been
checking out your profile and traffic for some time by now.
In case, if you don't know how to purchase and transfer the bitcoins - you can use
any modern search engine.

Here is my bitcoin wallet: 16aqr3rXxCtxa8AK3ErftnBQLfzyyhjpXJ

You have less than 48 hours from the moment you opened this email (precisely 2 days).

Things you need to avoid from doing:
*Do not reply me (I have created this email inside your inbox and generated the
return address).
*Do not try to contact police and other security services. In addition, forget about
telling this to you friends. If I discover that (as you can see, it is really not so
hard, considering that I control all your systems) - your video will be shared to
public right away.
*Don't try to find me - it is absolutely pointless. All the cryptocurrency
transactions are anonymous.
*Don't try to reinstall the OS on your devices or throw them away. It is pointless
as well, since all the videos have already been saved at remote servers.

Things you don't need to worry about:
*That I won't be able to receive your funds transfer.
- Don't worry, I will see it right away, once you complete the transfer, since I
continuously track all your activities (my trojan virus has got a remote-control
feature, something like TeamViewer).
*That I will share your videos anyway after you complete the funds transfer.
- Trust me, I have no point to continue creating troubles in your life. If I really
wanted that, I would do it long time ago!

Everything will be done in a fair manner!

One more thing... Don't get caught in similar kind of situations anymore in future!
My advice - keep changing all your passwords on a frequent basis

Chances are, it is a scam..  I don't know why some authority, whether connected to the internet industry or the FCC don't take some of these creeps to trial and slam them in the cooler for a few years each.  That should slow thee crooks down some.

First most all of these scams are from India, who ya gonna take to court?

No one in government really cares about these scams or about how many stupid people actually pay up thinking they are real.

They are just like all the phone calls from IRS, Social Security and all the rest demanding immediate payment. They are scams, don't wasted your time on them. Just hang up the phone or delete the e-mail

Don't sweat the small stuff, it's all small stuff.

I dunno IG, I got an email and a letter from Apple warning me and others about these people. At first I ignored it thinking it was another scam. But it wasnt it did come from Apple, I even got another email of warning from AT&T.  They are experienced hackers, who are now using text to get into your phone.

The internet used to be a handy tool, but these kind of jerks have just about ruined it. Some sites have even gone as far as requiring two passwords. As Ive said before, all it takes is one crooked bank employee to give out your information and get paid for doing that. Even a common teller can access your bank information.

I get 2 or 3 texts every day from scammers and just delete without opening.
And an official government agency NEVER contacts you via e-mail or phone.

When you get official letters, that is a different deal.  I have been told for instance, that the IRS won't get hold of you by text or phone, but only by mail.
...And yes, most of these scams come from foreign countries..but if a few were slammed in jail for 10-20 years, especially any from the US, that may slow some down.  As far as foreign entities, hasn't one of the big tech websites  cut Australia off!  Why can't they do that for any country that won't extradite such criminals?

I get scam calls regularly. If I'm not busy I press 1 and mess with these dirtbags. One call was the "Social Security" scam. I pressed 1 and the guy answers "Social Security Administration". I started yelling into the phone with a ghetto voice "Yo nigga, why you be callin me-n-sheet" The guy thought it was funny and hung up. They called again the same day so I did my old Japanese man impression when I answered. They immediately hung up. They called again a little while later and I did my impression of a hard of hearing elderly man "I can't hear you sonny!". They hung up again and haven't called back since, they must have gotten sick of me wasting their time and took me off their call list.

They were baiting you on, the longer you stay on a cell phone the more they can scan you. Do not even talk to them. DB I hope you were using a land line.

Did you miss the part where I said they hung up on me? If they were trying to "scan" me why would they hang up on me? The reason they call is to scam people dumb enough to give out personal info over the phone.

I don't mix banking with the internet either...  One thing for all of us to keep in mind...the fact that if we are a senior citizen, the same can easily be obtained by any scammer.  Scammers try seniors more often than others, because some seniors are as mentally alert as Joe..you-know-who !

Nice thing about an old fashioned answering maching, if I do not know the number I let it ring threw.
Robo calls hang-up automatically and other bs calls do not hear the "please leave a message" and start going -- anybody there, hello,hello... then hang-up.

You write a check to your local doctor for the bill.  They now have your name, address, date of birth, SS#, and your bank account number.
One bad apple can share this everywhere.

That's the way to go. If you make it painful enough for them enough times they will take your number off their call list.

I don't know, I do not remember stories of people using checks being as likely at having their identity stolen as is done with credit cars.
Bouncing check problems for business, that exits but that is the only real problem.
The trouble is too many bogus checks has made them harder to use around here.

Most paper bank account problems come when some one gives, over the phone verbally, tracking number etc. etc. to a scammer.
If I have a concern, I will use a Money Order from one source or another.
