This is exactly why Joes handlers hesitate in putting him up before the public. I doubt that AOC will ever become the speaker of the House, she's made a lot of enemy's there. On both sides. "Leader" makes as much sense as "nigger" in the context of that sentence.

Neither word fits but I just listened to it again and it sure sounds like he said nigger.

For a trip down memory lane to compare, Mitt Obamney used the word "niggardly" one time and the media freaked out even though niggardly is not a racial slur, is an actual word (means stingy) and Mitt Obamney used it in proper context. The media covered that word for weeks on end just because it "sounds" like nigger.

I agree that when he tried to say he was "eager to hear" from Merkel his jumbled, slurred speech came out sounding like "nigger", but any adult would know he was not referring to Merkel as a "nigger". To say otherwise, is really reaching. Kinda like CNN, NBC, and CBS do. I suppose if one wants to reduce ones self to that sorta stuff, they can.
