  The infantry and armor branches were recently opened to women who could qualify.. ..And if they can meet the criteria, I agree..

  I do hope though, that of they choose to be a tanker, they realize there may be times when they cannot leave that tank for hours!
 
  So I hope they don't mind peeing in a can.  ...And just like the male tankers..about the time a couple HE rounds have bounced off the front glacis, they may need the pee can ahead of time..

And yes, if a woman wants to be in a combat unit, she should meet the standards of men.

I would lower the standards for women who wished to be in a non-combat role and not allow them to transfer in.

But, a feminazi as Rush called them could cause trouble in that regard.

The IDF has had women on the front lines for years. So far I haven't read where there has been any problems.
But they have a different mind set by knowing what is at stake. And what would happen to them if they were ever captured.
