Gas went up to 2.90 there almost overnight. Still holding at 2.40 here.

Can't blame slo jo/Walter for this. It was Mother Nature that put the whammy on a bunch of refineries. I thought it was the Arabs, not Carter, that did it back then.

Your right, Blathering Biden ain't the culprit here. A 100 year winter storm shut most of Texas refineries down.

Gas is jumping here too. Our refineries are on lake superior. Must be supply and demand

Way up over 3.00 a gallon here. Maybe we need to build some refineries here and supply them with pipelines. Yeah right. Seems logical to me. No 100 year freeze. No hurricanes. We could get Elon musk and his tunnel building machine and bring in the oil from who knows where. Sounds good to me.

I have to say one thing though. My sister in Texas couldn't get gas. Sold out. At least we could get it here. Sky high but still available. I don't get it.

Slo jo ain't gonna let you build those pipelines.  ::) As to your sister in Texas: That's where the refineries shut down and that is where the Texas gas supply come from. Evidently the one just east of Big Spring, TX made it OK. That is where most of our gasoline comes from and we haven't had a supply problem but prices have escalated quite a bit I hear. My son had a VA appointment over in Big Spring last Friday and he said gas prices had increased 40 cents from the last time he filled up.

  Just a bit of history...

 1) Carter would not support the Shah, who was in our pocket.

  2) Instead, Carter favored the Ayatollah, who was holed up in Paris at the time, preaching Wahabi hatred.

  3) By not helping the Shah, Carter opened the gates in Iran for the radical Muslim cleric to return there.

  4) The Ayatollah wanted to get hold of the Shah, so he could torture him.

  5) Carter had enough conscience to protect the Shah from torture.

  6) This got the Ayatollah p_ _ _ _ _d off, so he (his stooges) took the entire American embassy hostage.

 7) Carter sent an ill fated rescue mission, which failed because the Carter administration has scrimped funds for the military so badly, that the Spec Ops units were out of practice, for lack of training and the aircraft were so badly maintained, that they crashed on the mission.

eight) Iran showed so much power against the US, that OPEC was willing to follow their lead..and raised oil prices.

The whole thing could have been avoided, had the Carter administration encouraged oil exploration and discovery
here, and opened up the ANWR oil fields.

Pres Reagan followed hapless Jimmy..and showed everyone how to deal with blustering "holy men" !  After 444 days as captives, the hostages were taking off from Teheran airport as Pres Reagan was taking his oath of office. Th eAyatollah felt sure that the presidet (Cowboy) would immediately turn and sic the US forces upon him.

...But of course, Joe Biden and the duma-crats STILL don't "get it"!  Joe is still trying to 'butter up' the Ayatollahs in Iran, who often torture their own people !  ...And the Ayatollah is again in the driver's seat !

With Biden in there, gas is going to go up. Just a matter of time. It's already climbing here.

A man from our little county of Watonwan here in Minnesota was the highest ranking hostage throughout this ordeal. He came and spoke to us at our high school.

Thanks for the history lesson but I didn't sleep though all that. I was working my butt off in the oilfield along with everyone else around me trying to produce more oil. Jimmy just gets the blame by association as he didn't actually do anything like slo jo has.
