Of Childhoods End. It was a long series when it came out, but very well made for a TV network "SCFI"
Didn't cut corners, stayed to the original story. A bit expensive and hard to find, but it finally came in.

Bob, it's only fiction/ fantasy. I know hard core Christians who liked Harry Potter, and lord of the rings.
It isn't real, and we know it. It doesn't change our faith whatsoever.

I enjoyed both but this is a different level of rhetoric.

Christianity is a central theme in J. R. R. Tolkien's fictional works about Middle-earth, but always a hidden one. J. R. R. Tolkien was a devout Roman Catholic from boyhood, and he described The Lord of the Rings in particular as a fundamentally religious and Catholic work.

The author of Harry Potter has now stated that one character is a homosexual to kiss liberals buttocks.
Probably help them not end up like Dr. Sues stories.

Wow just wow, first disk two hours long. Unedited not censured. Extream SciFi at its best. This could have cost millions of dollars to make. Nothing cheesy about it, never deviates as being intense. Bob I know you would like it.

As I said, its extreme Science Fiction. From the mind of the author Arther C. Clark. That's all it is, if it offends you then don't watch, or read it. The end would surprise you.

$20.00 for new and unused. It has a lot scenes in it that the TV version didn't have, and no commercials. 
Sure is long though, I didn't know it was done by Universal studios. I didn't think that the SciFi channel
had the resources to put something like this together.

Clark also was the one who co-wrote, and co-directed the screen play for 2001 a Space Odessy. A lot of people in those days didn't fully understand it back then. He went on to write the sequel, 2010 The year we made contact.

A lot of people don't understand the movie 2001 a Space Odessy *today* unless they read the book first.  I just re-watched it with my son and his fiance and they were completely lost. I had forgotten just how much the movie depended on the book.

The Movie 2001 A Space Odessey is fascinating, probably the first warning, of film, of the dangers of man's laziness letting machines work without continual over seeing.
People who put their reliance of satellite navigation with no back-up ending up in the boonies learn the hard way.
