My Grandkids and great Grandkids found themselves deeper in debt now. Oh sure the vast majority of Americans will receive a whopping 1400 dollars per person but who can truly understand the amount of debt we will have now. Along with bernie short of suicide trying to get the minimum wage to 15.00 an hour is going to put small business in trouble. Like they say better bring a wheelbarrow full of money for your groceries in the future. But like some say it will only get better. Maybe a tree that grows money?

I can’t figure why anyone making a decent living is getting one.
I also can’t figure why my wife and I each get a check. She draws teacher retirement, I draw social security and a Delta pension, we don’t need it.
But there’s folks out there who REALLY need more than that and can’t get it.

THEY’RE BUYING VOTES.

I'd like to see the breakdown of how many dollars went to pork vs. how many dollars went to stimulus checks. I have a feeling that the $1400 checks are a diversion to how much pork we the taxpayers, our kids and grandkids had to pay out.

Not a done deal just yet. Senate passed version different than House passed version. So now it has to go back to the House. Buncha folks there not happy with changes Senate made. Not a sure bet they will buy the Senate version.

Fingers crossed it gets buried in negotiations and no accord between the house and senate versions but betting the dems will salvage it somehow with an accord that puts the US into a faster spiral of debt that can't be repaid.

Its already been on the news for about a week. 9% stimulus, 91% pork.

Worse than I thought, the $1400 checks are essentially hush money while the government fleeces us and generations to come.
