I pretty much figure supply and demand. Ammo especially. Hopefully gasoline doesn't go that way but probably will.

That's crazy. And it looks like an older box.

Anyone that has been paying attention to ammo prices the last few months would know how this is going.

With senile Biden as president being lead like a trained monkey by people who have never worked a hard job in their life, it will get far worse for the next two years at least.
At that I have several Grizzly pistols and have watched prices on GB; they usually have single high price, not an auction , and are going up.

As I write this there is a Mk I, on auction,  that comes with all necessary to convert from .45 Win. Mag to .357 and 10mm that in two weeks was bid up to 2,500 , while at the same time another dude has just a standard Mk I .45 Win. Mag for sale at 2,500.
Greed rules.
For many years , until this one, you usually saw them listed at 1,600 plus or minus.

I checked on sold prices, and ones sold by bidding sell around 2.500 plus or minus 150 dollars on average.
Some thing has changed.

I definitely agree. A simple M1 Carbine, now in the thousands? I can remember getting one in junior high school from my shop teacher slash gun dealer for 35.00. Times sure have changed.

No one is forcing anyone to pay those prices. I just purchased a brand new handgun at the local farm and ranch store for $120 less than MSR. I found the same gun in two local gun shops at suggested retail.

I remember how the prices of sks's started to climb years ago. Not sure what they cost now, but there was a guy near me that opened a small gun shop years ago. I remember once he go in a number of cases of sks's covered in cosmoline.  He was selling them for $60 each.
Anyway gun prices have shot up quite a bit. Glad I'm at the age I'm about done buying guns.  Even if you buy a gun in a new caliber you don't have, you can't find ammo for it, and if you do its pricey also. Then if you reload you can find brass, powder and some bullets, but can't find primers.

It's just exactly like the 22lr ammo
was a few years back.
And the toilet paper was a few months
ago.
People willing to pay gouge prices for
things and others willing to oblige and
vice versa/back and forth etc.
Many these days look at day to day
life as a video game and nothing is
reality
Funny, I never did hear anyone in my
area say that all these "shortages "
were basically false, and were caused by
panic buyers and gougers even after
it was irrefutable proven to be so.
Especially the 22lr ammo that the
gubmint was supposedly buying up
and stowing in a secret warehouse
out in BFE
I got called some really dirty names
back then
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

I saw on the TTAG website that American Eagle ammo is showing up. Is this a sign of things easing up? Or have I just not been paying attention. I'm not too concerned about ammo, I'd rather have some primers.

Of course it is an older box.  Black Talon was taken off the market after a short while, deemed too destructive for use by the public.  The Talon bullet design was used in Ranger ammunition "to be sold to Law Enforcement only."

Primers Ive got, brass is starting to run short. Folks just don't leave brass laying around anymore.

CZ 75 ..  $1500?  Sure sounds like gouging to me!  My grandson has purchased 2 handguns in the last 3 months, one new and one used.  Both were priced fair,  but only under the MSRP.
That was at the LGS just up the street, and Mike sells quite a few guns to my clan..

My buddy just had his Ford f250 van stolen. Cops said probably in Mexico. His insurance pay out is about half what a comparable one costs to replace. It's getting insane with the prices.

And just try buying a good used pickup truck. If its 10 or 12 years old, clean and lower mileage they're trying to get what the truck cost new 10 or 12 years ago. That's were the dollar is at.

Mike, our LGS owner, reserves 2 boxes of ammo at regular prices, for each new gun sold, and doesn't gouge when he sells ammo.  He may be better off than some other LGS, because he also deals in archery, trapping, clothes etc..more like a mini Cabelas.

The prices for things are jacked up
only because people continue to
pay them.
I compare it to some relatives and
people I know that are supposed to
cut back or cut out certain foods
and drinks. Some have heart
trouble, but insist on having most of
a pack of bacon and half a dozen
runny eggs for breakfast everyday,
some who are diabetic that switched
to diet cold drinks and don't drink
anything else but all day long.

People can be hard headed and
they'll still pay whatever price even
if it enables some gouger somewhere
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .
