Hundreds of vessels remained trapped in the canal waiting to pass, carrying everything from crude oil to cattle. Over two dozen vessels have opted for the alternative route between Asia and Europe around the Cape of Good Hope, adding some two weeks to journeys and threatening delivery delays.

Word has it that shooting accoutrements
are returning to shelves in this area.
I saw a 10-12 different kinds of ammunition
in the cabinet at WM the last time I went
through. Most were a dozen or so boxes
of each variety. Don't need anything
myself except for shotshells. I did for
sure shortchange myself in that area.
Thought I had what I did not

As far as I know, both the suez
and panama require the canal
authority pilots to do the driving.
Same at freight docks.

Probably some barely trained
filler. That's why IMO aircraft and
big dangerous things like ships
shouldn't be made "easier " to pilot
with sophisticated computer guidance
systems. Should only be a person with
the affinity and experience for the job.
No quotas. Only the top of the top
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

.
The Corinthian canal could also be easily plugged also, which is not used by the super freighters, but could still disrupt shipping.
Not so with the Bosporus or Dardanelles..

The straights of Dardanelles or past Istanbul could not be so easily closed
