If you are ever down Brazil way, you might get a nice used Willys Aero by Ford.

    I recall the Willys Aero when they were new.  Had I been able to afford a new one then, i may very well have sprung for one.
  They came in a choice of a 4 or 6 cylinder.  I considered them a cut above Kaiser's Henry J, in the same class .

   Henry J had a flat head 4 cyl continental engine..while the Willys was either OHV or F head Willys, can't recall which.

   I always had a soft spot for Willys, ever since I was a little kid, and my spinster aunt had a 1940 Willys coupe.

   Willys was always innovative, and since I appreciate simplicity in vehicles, I very much liked the Willys wagons.

  I bought one once, which had a 4cyl F head that had spun it's crank, so I replaced it with a Studebaker Champion

   engine.  Never got to use it though, since a fellow made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

  Here is an earlier 6 cyl Willys wagon, the 4 cyl models were underpowered, but nice and simple:

my best buddy in high school drove a 4x4 willys wagon with a flat head six in it. It was so loud driving 55 down the road that you couldnt hear the radio or talk. but it was cool!!

  The 1950s and 1960s were interesting times in the automotive field.  The 'independents' were fighting for their lives, so it seems the truly exciting new models were introduced by them.

  Consider the 1954 Kaiser Darrin;

    Or the supercharged, Studebaker Avanti..remember, this is a 1963 model;
