You (excepted) the mask wearing mandating out of fear. They are now moving toward restrictions on travel unless vaccinated, and you seem ok with that.
When government takes something, they don't give it back. In this case the mandates are freedoms of choice, and travel.

The CDC always presents a range of numbers based on estimates because the “normal” flu (H1N1, H3N2, B/Washington) is not a reportable disease. The number that i used was culled from past estimates and represents a middle figure in those CDC estimates.
An extensive examination of Excess Mortality is available as a lengthy study from ourworldindata.org. (Google “Excess Mortality during the Coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19)).
There is also available a study on the reliability of any count related to the Average Desth Rate from All causes in the USA. USA. Reuters....search for “Partly False Claim..”

“ total US death rate from all causes is about same or under previous years”......take a look at death rate from all causes per age group as opposed to all ages together.

Was finally able to sit down and process both Leanna Wen and Naomi Wolf. Dr. Wen has a much more credible CV with an extensive background as a physician and public health advocate.

Pandemic? What percent survival rate defines a pandemic?  Lots of people die from health issues related to being over weight, and ingesting a lot of sugar. We have no idea how many people have had covid. All we know are those that tested positive for covid. Lots of people had it that never got tested. So where does that move the covid survival rate to in percentage?  I'm willing to bet that your chance of dying from a obesity related illness is much greater than dying from covid. Yet obesity isn't even close to being called a pandemic, which it has a right to. In fact being fat is the in thing anymore, because so many people are over weight.  Since there is talk about forcing people to get a vaccine, maybe we can implement restrictions for being over weight also.

My wife has COPD. Her sister, and brother, and brother in law, are obese with health issues. They all got together and decided to get the shot. I passed.
Easter at a family gathering all these patriotic family members got together and the subject of "travel permits" came up centered around covid vaccination.
Brother and sister in law stated: we have ours if they make that a law.
I guess its better described as "psuedo patriotism". They don't fully understand the concept.
