City manager fired over shooting..
« on: April 13, 2021, 01:12:32 AM »
  .
City manager fired for suggesting that the officer involved in the past weekend's shooting, receive

"due process" !  Now, why in t e world would any city manager not be clamoring instead, for a lynching?

BTW: the police chief may yet be fired for suggesting the shooting may have been accidental..

If the response of any Goobermint Official does not fit the narrative - Off With Their Head!

Then , when the truth sees the light of day, the "offended party" will get a substantial award.  Get fired.  Get rich quick!

When poor Daunte jumped back in that car, the officers "accidental" choice of weapon was a good one.

POlice chief is a colored person so babbling heads having a shite fit over this were careful about going after him.
Cop was a women and that has probably made this not as big an issue if it were a Northern European male.

Bad thing for shooter is a second cop can be heard shouting "tazer" which means she saw the pistol the shooter grabbed.
Grabbing wrong weapon is no excuse, if a civilian shoots some one due to a "mistake" his life is over as prosecutors will bury him.

The shooter will probably be found guilty of manslaughter, and her life will be hell for a long time.

Many of the news reporters claim it was the arresting officer who shouted the obligatory warning of ..taser,taser, taser..
I guess that is required before they use it!  No doubt that in any case,  she made a huge mistake!

Some departments have Tasers in a Yellow or orange weapon.  Perhaps if she had such a taser, she would have known she had drawn the wrong weapon !

Perhaps if the taser were shaped differently, say like the common construction stapler, where it takes a fist to operate, such a mistake would indeed be rare.

I find it hard to believe that ANY COP today would intentionally shoot ANYONE... after all, this is not Waco Texas,

and it is not April, 1993 !

..But then again, if people when detained, were taught to COMPLY ..they would not need to die.

Hell, were I a cop today, I would SHOOT FIRST and ask questions later.  The damn Public has a License To Kill LEO's and get away with it.  I am GOING HOME tonight and letting my attorney fight the Gooberment over the rights of Law Enforcement, which if I remember correctly, and the Left hasn't obliterated yet, remain INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.  Most LEO shootings are JUSTIFIED.  If the Boyz in da Hood would follow these simple instructions, they wouldn't get a "cap 'n d'ay ass"...

You may be right BUT then that is VERY BAD for the shooter.
I saw the video just up to the point she shoots --  and if she could not tell she had pistol in her hand, she had time,  she is incompetent and deserves to suffer the consequences.

If it was not for liberal policies in the first place, requiring a "softer" response, a slap on the wrist, she would not have had the taser and the "wrong weapon" wouldn't be an issue.  It is idiocy that tolerance and softening the LE response does not counter the grim fact that violence begets violence.  If you REFUSE to obey the police, you SHOULD EXPECT to get SHOT and potentially KILLED.  It is a FACT that DEADLY FORCE (or its threat) brings criminal activity to a swift conclusion.  Removing that from the equation of LE is WRONG and gets LEO's killed or injured.  Liberal policies stand out as Get Rich Quick schemes when the handcuffs to LE lead to the Monday Morning Quarterbacks in the courtroom.

I am reminded of the culminating incriminating lines from "A Few Good Men":

Quote
Son, we live in a world that has walls. And those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago and you curse the marines.

You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know:
That Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives.

You don't want the truth. Because deep down, in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall. You need me on that wall.  We use words like honor, code, loyalty... we use these words as the backbone to a life spent defending something. You use 'em as a punchline.

I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide it. I'd prefer you just said thank you and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you're entitled to.

guy had a warrant out for his arrest and resisted arrest. Hes not some boy scout like the news wants you to believe. Also dont you find it ironic that the blacks want to defund police and let everyone (other blacks) out of prison and abolish prisons. But then in the same breath want this girl fired without due process and convicted of a crime and put into prison. I guess prisons and accountability only apply if your white. What are they doing about  those rioters that have caused millions of dollars in damage and have injured police officers?????? NOHTING. Just like the liberals those blacks know they have the power and are going to do there best to DESTROY white middle class america as quickly as they can so we are done before elections can change a thing.

Mistake or not, when he jumped back in the car how was the officer to know his next move? Guessing if he had a gun in the car, that may have came out already. So if his intent was to flee, would he have stopped if an officer or any other innocent bystander had been in his path? Very disappointed in some of the responses I have seen HERE, which seem to defend poor innocent Daunte. This will never go away for the officer involved. Her life is ruined as well as her families. Daunte's family will receive millions and and his cousins will continue to loot and burn.

  I want to correct my statement in post #4, where I said;

I find it hard to believe that ANY COP today would intentionally shoot ANYONE... after all, this is not Waco Texas, and it is not April, 1993 !

I meant to say i would find it hard to believe any cop would shoot anyone just for fun.

Obviously, there are many reasons where a cop may be forced to fire.

Yes...the major mistake was committed by Daunte himself, as I have said...., parents should teach their kids the simple meaning of the word.....C-O-M-P-L-Y, especially if they live in those kinds of neighborhoods. and follow the "street" culture".
