Yeah I know the subject line might make ya think this belongs in the political forum, but trust me it doesn't. Nope this really isn't about Derek or the verdict.

I guess you might say it's more about censorship or maybe it's just about the state of mind of the current owners of my old site I poured so many years of blood, sweat and tears into.

What this is really more about tho is me working up to the wording for my resignation at the go2gbo site. I will be submitting it both via e-mail to the site owners and posting it to the site once I get the proper wording worked out.

I'm not going to go into my reasons for resigning here, at least not at this time. But yes the quote below does figure into it.

So what is the quote below you ask, glad you asked.

It is the e-mail I got from a representative of the Canadian owners of the old GBO.

Lots of censorship going on among
the traditionally conservative sites.
I've received a couple of reprimands
from other sites I belong to.
No profanity or personal attacks or
the like. If I were to cut through the

Yes it is but I've made my peace with it. I've posted my farewell to the members there and let them know that as of May 1 I will no longer serve as admin there. I'm still working on my resignation letter to Vertical Scope.

So if someone voices a different opinion, like how the threat of riots controlled the verdict. then its considered hate speech. We will eventually become censored like people in North Korea are.

I believe I could have already composed one if it were me. It would consist of on five word sentence and a two word one, the last one being "I resign". Everyone should be able to figure out the first as it isn't postable. I'm not very diplomatic though and don't see any point in beating around the bush or mincing words.

YES IT DOES. I jokingly as a WINCHESTER advertiser to send me some 22 mag ammo. My post violated their community standards. That's OK Charlie, I'm not quitting here just at the go2gbo site which you don't use anymore anyway.

Tonight Matt came over and submitting my invoices to them for March and April. I don't honestly expect to get paid but I didn't want to submit my resignation until those invoices were submitted just in case they pay me.

I fully expect to lose my graybeard@go2gbo.com e-mail address and it's the one I use most but so be it.

I will be diplomatic in my resignation, it won't be long, and it will go to them either tonight or tomorrow.

I have no idea what if anything they will do about replacing me there.

It looks like the few lefties we had on the old site, have refrained from venturing here, am I correct?

I do miss some of them, such as Guzzi, with whom I usually disagreed, but still had some interesting and polite conversations.

It also appears the cultists have not come along in the religious discussion either. ..But I didn't expect them to stay after they could gather no converts. ...But they seemed to drift in and out of the forum anyway.

Long ago, Canadians, at least on radio..swapped FREE speech for FAIR speech! There is a huge difference!!!
