Like em or not, they did have a good run there for awhile. After Disco fell, they were a refreshing change.
Most of them like Abba, had to bring some males onboard.Personally I really liked Ace of Base. Still do, they fell apart when the lead singer died of cancer. They had a  certain style all they're own. Pre rap.

I like all music, minus rap. Even classic as mood music. Rap has been a disaster, it isn't music.

Thanks for that.  Not a big fan of techno-pop, but that has a nice melody and structure.
Go Gos and Blondie too
