best harmony ever

my vote goes to crosby stills nash and young. Man those voices could come together and sound like one heavenly voice. IMO the most combined talent that ever came together as a band

I would have to agree, they are right up there. It's hard for me to pick the best in that category but they are either at the top or near the top of my list. They were all pretty amazing in their own right. For harmonies I also like the Beach Boys, The Zombies, The Hollies (with Graham Nash) and The Move to name a few.

Neil Young just recently married Daryl Hannah. Dang that girl sure does get around, marrying musicians.
But he says he's going to start singing again. And using her in his music, ive never heard her sing. She used to be really cute but no mas.

For my likes, no group is any good, without a great bass...

Here's one I truly like..perhaps because it fits me so well.  Of course, when they sing about an old house..they are speaking about our ageing body..the "house" of our soul..

Little as I know about music, they sound like great harmony too !

..And speaking of bass singers...Here is JD Sumner, singing a very similar song..just before he moved out of his 'old house' !

     https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmXNDwA7WxM

I would like to share both of those songs with our friend ..the DeaconLLB, and all my fellow Christian geezers on GBO !.

Watch what happens when JD Sumner hits a low note, and the instruments accompanying him, apparently can't go there..
It happens just past the 2 minute point..

Beach Boys Sloop John B isolated vocal track, pretty amazing harmonies. Especially at 1:16.

They had a baritone who sings bass sometimes but they didn't have a dedicated bassman.

Jan and Dean. I heard a song by them on S/XM yesterday. For the C/W lovers the Oakridge Boys.
