A 4-year-old girl in Texas died after she was attacked by her family’s dog over the weekend, according to an affiliate report.

Elayah Brown was in the backyard a home in southeast Fort Worth shortly after 5 p.m. on Friday when she was mauled by one of the dogs, according to local news station FOX 4.

She was rushed to a local hospital, but could not be saved. The dog was later humanely euthanized, according to the report.

A GoFundMe page that appears to have been created for Elayah’s family describes the little girl as having "touched the lives of those around her."

"We are all devastated by Elayah’s loss and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service," according to the page, which was written by someone who identifies themself as Elayah’s uncle. "We want to give Elayah the memorial she deserves, to honor her memory and say our last goodbyes."

I wouldn't have "humanely euthanized" it. I'd have killed it in a most painful way.

Some would call you (inhumane). I wouldn’t... Actually maybe it fits for the soft crowd that thinks violent killers and rapists deserve any form of kindness. I have a size 12 triple e that would be very kind right to the end...

The dog is described as a "mixed breed". Im guessing a pitbull mix. As far as humanely killing the dog, I don't see any point in not doing so.

"As far as humanely killing the dog, I don't see any point in not doing so." It can be read in two different ways the way you worded it. Oh gee Dee I will miss you so much. NOT.  P.S. I hate you too.

Grammar break down:

As far as humanely killing the dog, I don't see any point in not doing so.  -- complex sentence with the independent clause following the dependent.

Dependent clause --              As far as humanely killing the dog
The independent clause is -- I don't see any point in not doing so

The former makes an empty statement, the latter clarifies the former, into a basic complex sentence. 8)

My money's on the "mix" having pitbull in it as well. If it walks like a duck...

That was my guess also. Being from that area, I know that pitbulls are popular with the younger crowd, dope dealers use them for security, and pitbull mixes are plentiful, and usually free for the taking.
One of my grandsons has a Male, and a female, both pitbull mixes. He is a good young man, but doesn't bring'em when he visits.

Just as we thought:

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/texas-girl-4-mauled-death-000611452.html

"Fort Worth Animal Care and Control reportedly took custody of the mixed-breed pit bull and the dog was euthanized on Saturday."

You'd think after seeing thousands of stories of children being mauled to death by pitbulls people would reconsider getting one as a "family pet" but apparently some people have to learn the hard way.

It's all in how you raise'em. I lost count of how many times I've been told that. I've never blamed the dog. They are what they are. The owners are to blame, but that doesn't help the victim, or their families.

I've heard that BS line a million times too or "pitties are so sweet, they were originally bred as nanny dogs". Over the years I've learned that there are a lot of pitbull owners who are essentially part of a a cult, they refuse to accept the reality of their favorite dog breed.
