Bullet prices.

I was just looking around for bullets and have they ever took a price jump. Bullets that I used to pay between 18.00 and 25.00 are now over 50.00 plus shipping.

As far as the high cost of shipping,
many don't ever factor that in anymore.
Used to be a parcel post ( when there
was such a thing) would get a modest
sized box from here to the far corners
of the country for $3.00-$4.00
As far as I'm aware, that can't be done
any way anymore

At least you are able to get some bullets online but not so easy for brass. Primers are another big concern. What I used to pay $30 for 1000 ,one of my local LGS store is selling them for $ 200 per thousand and that is when and if they get them in. Supplies may eventually return but I doubt we will ever see the prices that we used to pay before.

I placed an order last October through Bear tooth bullets for some 300gr. 44 cal. bullets. Got an email in January that I should hope to receive them soon. Since then I have emailed and tried to call them with no response.  I finally placed an order through Oregon trail for  100, 300gr bullets that cost 50 bucks plus 18 bucks for shipping. Was told the wait time for them is four months.

Primers of any kind are impossible to find in my area.

Things are slowly returning here, but
at higher prices.
Hopefully, the gougers got stuck with
a lot of stuff they have to take a beating
on. The people that paid gouge prices
still didn't learn anything.  They'll do
the same thing and enable the very
same way when the next " shortage "
comes about

Yep, if we collectively stopped buying overpriced ammo the prices would come down.

When the Sierra GameKing 55 grain HPBT became impossible to find, I started shooting these bullets in my .222/.223/.22-250 with excellent results. 1000 bullets delivered to my door for $106.

Yeah

The funniest thing ( sad too) in my area is
that there are STILL many who are moaning
and groaning loudly because they shot up
all their ammunition knowing they couldn't
replace it.  Once again this last season there
were those who didn't even have a few rounds
to go hunt.
Oh well.  . .

Other than 9mm bullets, I have enough ammo and supplies on hand to last longer than chairman Mao-Biden and the ho will last in office.
