MAY- A MONTH OF GOOD FOOD
« on: May 05, 2021, 02:40:07 AM »
May is a big month for good food and barbecue. Today is Cinco de Mayo, Mothers day and Memorial Day are coming and yesterday was Star wars day. This is what we brought to the galactic pot luck. And because of Covid we did were our masks.  MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU!

Hey grumpy I don't know where you live but in  Arizona every day is Mexican day. But I feel so good today I might just have a taco along with a big margarita.

YES!  Those of us in the south west get the real stuff every day. Taco Bell is not Mexican. I eat off the carts-- just don't ask questions. It is all good.  ;D  Tinker Bell and Taco Bell-----------

In this part of the world we get Tex-Mex and Mexican can't hold a candle to it. In fact I won't even go into the few cafes that offer "real" Mexican food. Bland, blah, almost tasteless stuff compared to Tex-Mex.

There is a place in Prescott Az that makes the best enchiladas I've ever had. Been there for 70 years or more. And I guarantee it's not Texmex.

Been there when I visited my Sister in Harlingen. Went to several of the supposedly best mexican restaurants in the area.  Didn't see that much difference. But that is my opinion and you know what they say about opinions?

I've eaten some straight up Mexican food that I liked as well as any TexMex. It all depends on ones taste, and the cook.

Couldn't express it any better. I never said I  didn't like Texmex just giving my opinion on enchiladas. Now different types of tacos, that's another story where Texmex shines.
