Reading the local obituaries, I discovered that one of my fellow workers from my silo building days, has just passed away. Terry wasn't in the crew I led, but in another crew.
The shocker.. He was 17 years younger than I...hard worker and gifted mechanic, he started a heavy equipment repair business after silos.. I pray he was saved..
Here's a 4 minute video I found on Youtube, which shows silo building, just as we did it, except we had only one boom instead of two, and run by a gas engine. I had a helper on top, but being foreman, I was responsible to make sure the work was on time, on quality..and STRAIGHT!
My boom was run by a pull rope..and my right shoulder now reminds me of that every day.
