Ahh,the Rose's we had shiped up here by friends already have 1 white rose each in the large planters we put on each side of the front porch steps.

AND, its taken about a week for all the neighborhood cats to find them. How purty. Potting soil on the porch, and cat crap in the planters.

Well, I guess we all know what's next.

It's a shame that an animal has to suffer at the hands of a neighbor who is a hater of cats because the cat's owner/owners do not know how to contain them so they can live a better and safer life from those that would do them harm and some actually enjoy the prospect of a cat coming into their yard so they can blow it away. Not me however.

LOL, it's funny that some cat lovers seem to adore the strong smell of cat crap on their front porch, along with the flys, and disease that comes with it, and expect their neighbors to tolerate it also.
I don't hate rats, but I don't want any.

If cat owners TRULY loved their cats, I wouldn't have cat crap in my flower beds and large planters.

The problem IS, is that most cat lovers/owners totally lack any respect for their neighbors, and usually possess a "sneaky character" allowing their cats to roam at night, thinking their victims/neighbors are asleep and they'll get away with it.

The real victim isn't the cat, or its owner. The victim is the neighbors that have to clean up, and pick up, after cat, because a disrespectful cat owner, lets it roam and tries to shift the blame onto their victim.

Dont have cats roaming around here. Usually something else out there gets them before we ever see them.
Coyotes, Foxes, Owls. Or they end up being road kill, along with a lot of stray dogs.

Cats kill an estimated 2.4 billion songbirds each year in the US. I hope you take out as many cats as possible, for your own sanity and for the sake of the birds.

Feral cats also kill quail, and ground birds, squirrels, rabbits, and such.  On the good side, they also kill snakes, rats, mice, and such.  Feral dogs will kill fawns, as well as kill turkeys and eat turkey eggs and quail eggs.  I kill uncollared dogs and cats in the woods, especially if they look like strays or hungry looking.

Elderly neighbor keeps pans of cat food
outside 24/7 and draws every stray cat and
dog and possum and now skunks in the
area.  There are fleas all over during the hot
months, and crap piles and areas reek of
strong piss at times. She has to have
exterminators there constantly to spray
every thing because of the vermin.
If they stayed on that side of the street,
I wouldn't think twice about it at all.
There's quite a few that get flattened by
the speeding traffic
Used to be a lady that would bring her
dog around to lay a big pile during the
early hours each morning. I finally
caught her and asked her to please
keep her fat dog out of my yard
Poor dog was so overweight it's belly
was just barely clearing the ground.
They must have table fed it in addition
to a pan of food,  because it would
make a pile in my yard big enough for
a good sized cow

Folks need to keep any animals they
want to have on their own property
and be considerate of others.
If you can't confine your animals,
you probably shouldn't have them
and need to consider an aquarium
with a couple of fish

If you have a cat you won’t have snakes. Birds are a prey species, cats are predators. It’s Mother Nature at work.

The common house cat is an import to north America. It along with the English sparrow, and Python are invasive species.
So it is "mother nature " modified by careless man.

I never knew anyone that would come over and clean up after their cat. Just took it for granted. Same people if you visited their house smelled like a cat box. Couldn't stay for maybe a minute or two.

I have family members that keep cats in the house. I don't ever eat there. I like the line from cat owners that say: my cat (cats) never gets on the kitchen table, or countertops yet they (the cats) have the run of their home, day and night.

We also try and avoid visiting cat people. The smell is just to damn much and I also imagine the paws on the counters.

Yes, it is. Both species were designed by Mother Nature to be predators and both still are. Just because we feed and care for them does not remove that instinct. The only way to prevent them from following that instinct is to keep them caged.

If you love the smell of cat piss of a morning you should live on a ranch with hundreds of cows pooping and pissing every day.

They like dogs also. Dog heads are a big seller. Chinks eat anything, including insects, monkeys or whatever.

Living in the country I have found a cat hanging around the place fairly useful in controlling snakes, mice and rats. Not a fan of one living in the house but an outside cat has a purpose where we live.

The problem is cat owners don't think they should have to keep control of the damn things. If they would then the cats wouldn't be using neighbors yards for cat boxes. Feral cats is one thing but neighbors cats should be held accountable. If not just shoot em.

I bought a new trap yesterday, and a 12 pac of cheap cat food. And oiled my little Browning pistol. That's 12 cats.
Tomorrow I'm gonna buy a BB gun, and see if that'll work first.

I have used a bb gun or a pellet rifle for longer distances on dogs and cats for years to persuade them to stay away. It works pretty well on dogs but cats just get sneaky and hardly anything can out sneak a cat. My oldest grandson has told me that a paintball gun does wonders and you can get off a lot of shots in a hurry with one of those.
