White House reacts to Israeli strike on media building
The White House has said it has "communicated directly" with the Israelis on the security of the media, after a media building was hit by an Israeli strike.
The building had been evacuated and Israel says it was being used by Hamas, with civilian journalists being used as a shield.

The latest from Gaza is that the a high rise building in Gaza City that housed media outlets including Al-Jazeera, was destroyed by an airstrike -- after the military ordered it to be evacuated.
The strike also took down other buildings in the area. Earlier Israeli airstrikes hit a nearby refugee camp, which reportedly killed at least 10 people -- making it the single deadliest strike of the conflict.
Israel has been responding to a barrage of rocket attacks from Hamas, which has so far killed seven Israelis -- although many of the rockets have been deflected by Israel's "Iron Dome" defense system.
