Some time ago, right here on GBO, I offered a term, "Rad Left", simply a contraction of 'radical leftist'.
Allow me to clarify.... It appears that until now, the American political scene carried Left and right, which simply meant basically, either Liberal or Conservative, derived of course from the physical composition of the English houses of parliament, liberals on the left, conservatives on the right, as viewed from the front.
However, in recent years the left seems to have divided, to the point where we find.....
A) The old time liberal, with whom we disagree...but respects the US Constitution, and will debate the issues with conservatives (e.g. Prof Alan Dershowitz and former Sen. Ford (D-TN)).
B) The new left, or Rad Left..which shows every evidence of despising our constitution, refuses to debate the issues, (for obvious reasons).
Instead of reasoning, they want to forcefully shut down any who disagrees, and have adopted the 'mob rule' activities of the Marxist pattern. In fact they quite obviously have adopted the Marxist/Communist ideals..if they can be called that. (e.g. , the BLM, the statue topplers, the downtown arsonists, the 'dividers by race'/ethnicity, etc, police attackers & defunders along with the rioters who continue..even to last evening.
Perhaps rather than Rad Left, if neo-left may fits your description better, that's fine. ...But there is no denying a huge division has come about..people seemingly following Saul Alinsky's evil advice.
Personally, I see the current unrest not so much a political problem as a spiritual infestation.
You may disagree, but being a conservative, I still respect your right to do so.
BTW: did you view the videos I provided yesterday?
