Arab history and wisdom.....
« on: May 22, 2021, 10:18:07 AM »
Said to be from the Sheikh of Dubai - ->
.

The founder of Dubai, Sheikh Rashid, was asked about the future of his country, and he replied, "My grandfather rode a camel, my father rode a camel, I ride a Mercedes, my son rides a Land Rover, and my grandson is going to ride a Land Rover, but my great-grandson is going to have to ride a camel again."

Why is that, he was asked? And his reply,
“Hard times create strong men, strong men create easy times. Easy times create weak men, weak men create difficult times”

“Many will not understand it but you have to raise and be led by warriors, not parasites"

“And add to that the historical reality that all great "empires"...the Persians, the Trojans, the Egyptians, the Greeks, the Romans and in later years the British...all rose and perished within 240 years. Each "rotted from within".

><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><

America has now passed that 240 year mark and the "rot" is visible all around us and now accelerating quickly. We are past the Mercedes and Land Rover years, and are now being led by career government parasites who have never been warriors, done  nothing and the camels are now gathering in our yards.

“And 75 million Americans demonstrated last November by voting out a strong leader and replacing him with the weak parasite Biden that they know nothing of history and/   or if they do, think we should all be riding camels!"

Well, I would disagree that 75 million turds voted Biden in. I would say the neocons looked the other way, while the liberal trash swapped the votes.

As to the Arab world, American greed, and technology made all those little sand monkeys fabulously wealthy. Had it not been for America's oil field technology, they'd still be riding camels.

As far as the 240 year empire window, I'd agree with that.

  ^^^EXACTLY^^^

..And hapless Joe is going right along with them, especially Iran, while shutting down US drilling and fracking !  Adding insult to injury of the American tax payer, he not only wants to enrich them by their oil...but he an 'Lurch' Kerry want to hand over to the ayatollah..many more billions of our dollars.

As far as the 240 year empire window, I'd agree with that.

Blessed irrefutable truth ^ ^ ^ right there
Pretty much the rest of the world would be
stuck in the 1300's and many in the stone
age. The area formerly called Europe would
be known as New Germany. Most of the rest
would be eating with their filthy hands and
not cleansing their backsides

I do not follow all of that. (I am not trolling). The use of American technology did enable the Arabs to develop their oil fields.
How did you get to medieval Europe from there (and the Stone Age)? And then to New Germany (Germany being part of Europe and all).
I am sure that all of that is a clear path in your mind’s eye. Beyond the oilfield technology comment, i dont see the path.

And Pete....

Maybe it was the Arab inventions of the number system and algebra, coffee, and the triangular sail....that propelled the inventions and conquests of the West?

   Do you suppose the west would not have come up with the same, or certainly good substitutes, whenever they were needed?  They seem to come up with almost worthwhile inventions since the middle ages.
   Gas/steam & diesel engines, railroads, planes, trains and automobiles. skyscrapers, huge bridges, iron ships, computers, the space age, the numerous vaccines, medicine and science advances (along with Israel's great strides).
  Then of course, the theory of relativity and nuclear energy..all pioneered by a quiet little Jewish fellow.

To better understand your point of view from a "Palestinian Jesus" to your claims of their advancement of civilization.
Are you of Arab decent, and or Muslim?
I won't question either, just wondering.

Theoretical question.  What happened is what happened with the totality of human knowledge. While Europeans were still battling with each other with battle axes, Arabs established the Univ of Baghdad, the Alexanderian Library, and later the Univ of Alhambra in Spain....all formible institutions of knowledge.
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  For a time the Arabs didn't do too bad intellectually,  but then old Muhammad tricked them into Islam, and immediately they turned warlike and lapsed into intellectual regression.
    Yes, the Egyptians as Arabs, established the great library at Alexandria..but as Muslims, they came back and tore it down !  ..And it seems that since the advent of Muhammad, they have done far more destroying and far less developing, than they did, prior to 620 AD.
  Just a couple years ago, until Trump  saw to it that they were stopped, ISIS was still running around the ME..destroying irreplaceble archaeological treasures.
.
What's your motive for asking this question?
Because it seems like an attempt to muster  a racially charged pejorative attack in the echo chamber.
I am of human decent, and I don't hate anybody. So I study all the contributions of mankind in the tapestry of civilization.  So I don't try to delete or cancel any culture, and exclusivecize another culture.
IG....
Yes...the proto Arab people made some serious contributions to civilization,  even after the rise of Islam. BTW, the advent of Islam was in a period of Christian decline in the ME under the pressure from the Chosenist tribes with an exclusivity doctrine. Of course, Jesus recognized this problem, too, but questionable if Paulism does....certainly modern evangelicalism embraces chosenism. But Mohammed as visited by Gabriel embraced monotheism, the  Immaculate Conception and was open to all gentiles. This doctrine pretty much co-existed with the older Christian doctrine.
BTW, it was Russian forces that were invited into Syria to protect Christians from Obama's and  Israel's terrorist ISIS forces. And they did a pretty good job despite Obama's deep state  supporting these terrorist mercenary groups.
Anyway, this thread is simply about the old Sheikh of Dubai waxing philosophical about what is happening in his domain....just like we do.
My purpose for asking was as stated. There are no reading between the lines on anything.
Note that I stated my view, and have not injected any other thought into the conversation.
It was a question not expecting an answer, with my motive stated.
TM. There are a few things I disagree with in this part of your post but I will refrain from commenting on them.  I've grown rather fond of the new TM and POWDERMAN, and intend to keep things this way. CHARLIE.  :D :D
