For the first time ever
« on: June 10, 2021, 05:42:44 AM »
I am reading my monitor without glasses. I had cataract removal last December which was great for about three weeks on each eye. Then things headed south. I finally had laser surgery Monday to remove the plaque that sometimes forms under the replacement lens. Anything close up still requires some help. I am amazed at just how good my vision is now. I even saw a string of high line poles far to the west of me that I never knew existed and am going to drive over that direction after lunch just to see what they are.
When I went in the bathroom and looked in the mirror Tuesday morning I sacred myself. "Who is that beat up old fart looking back at me"? was my first thought. 4K TV really is that good too.

Glad to hear it, wish I could lose my glasses. My wife had laser surgery some years ago, it was great for a while, I'm afraid she really needs glasses again. Gives me concerns about getting it myself, but then my brother had his done years before my wife and he's still doing fine.

Eye surgery has evolved  tremendously since the early  1970s , back then they had to remove  the eyeball completely  out of socket  to remove cataracts .
