I am a meat eater, big time, but then I also am very fond of good salads, including just lettuce, tomato, onions, cheese and sun flower seeds, with French Dressing (I also have found meat-less pizza very, very tasty.)
At that I buy and cook steak, hamburger, ham, pork roast, pork chops and chicken in large amounts every year, including spending high buck money for top line steaks at a grocery store or on-line.
The current price of meat though is putting a big crimp on that, I now just sent an order a six pound standing rib roast on-line from Wholey's, for a little over 100 dollars; it is carry over stock from last year, and when it is gone, new stock will be a lot more expensive.
We used to have quite a bit of bacon in the fridge and freezer, I probably will probably take a trip down to St. James and get a big chunk of bacon, maybe for the last time this year if prices keep going up.
I wanted to buy some beef ribs and make some beef dumpling soup but the prices for those is insane now.
