Well all that's nothing new
Some years back the last place I'd
hunted in south Texas there were
border jumpers running everywhere
like a bunch of jackrabbits.
You sure couldn't leave anything out
or unlocked even though it was way
way remote and pitch dark at night.
The campsite had a tall fence around
it like some secret military installation
and the big gate got chained and
padlocked every night. I never got
much rest myself. I could imagine
waking up with a blade at my throat.
When you got dropped off at your
blind it was like making a bust or
something. One man would cover
you while you carefully eased the
door open to make sure there wasn't
someone asleep inside.
An acquaintance that was one of the
vendors for work had a lease a little
farther south, and they had to carry
everything back and forth from home
because everything would be stolen or
ruined when you got there after driving
5 or 6 hours. They had to leave everything
unlocked or the locks and latches would be
beaten off with a rock. The RV windows
would also be broken out if you left the
doors locked. He started leaving canned
food and bottled water out on his picnic
table so they wouldn't ransack his RV
looking for that

I feel sad for the people with property
and ranches by the southern border
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .
