I don't have any details at this time but Charlie is in the hospital. Pattie notified Matt and Becky on facebook and wanted them to let folks here know.

Matt is supposed to send me a copy of her message later tonight. He or I one will give more details when I know more or he posts.

Just talked to Patty. Charlie is back home but still in bad shape. She told me she nearly lost him this time.

He had fluid, she said blood but, I'm guessing other fluids maybe mixed with blood around his heart and lungs when he went into the hospital and they drained that. She said his heart, lungs and kidneys were shutting down when she got him to the hospital.

She asked that you guys continue the prayers, she is sure that's what pulled him thru.

No doubt prayers are what pulled me through this. I'm worn out but can't relax. I've been conditioned for 10 days not to be able to rest or sleep. Nowthat I have the chance to rest I cant' nerves are too far gone. I reckon it will take a few days. I just took some artritis tylenol, I helped before the hospitol, hope it does tonight. Several Xs I really expected to die this time. Nothing tastes right either. I tried for hours to get meds straight for tonight, finally gave up, try again tomorrow.
I've had to Church brothers help me in and out of Church for over a month. I should have call an ambulane Sun, but waited til WED, almost cost me my life. Thanks again, talk tomorrow if I get to feeling better.
Getting rid of Cherry pepsi and Dr Pepper, switching over. I really liked the cherry cokes, but went to Pepsi when coke instructed the employees to be LESS WHITE.
ALL but one nurse was great, the one was not, very rude, I turned her in.
Drained about a qt of fluid from my rt lung.
Took rt at 2 hrs to get home from the hosp, only abot 50 miles bt had to stop at drs offices on the way home. Tore my back up.
Patty and I have been married 41years now, I have been so blessed. I have a transport wheel chair, no ft rests. Patty got me backed up my ramp but couldn't get me in the house. The dr ramp is too narrow to fit the chair or my walker through the door without getting hung up. She got a friend to help me in the house. After Pain meds I was able to use my walker with little effort, I will get stronger. Sam said if he gets tome next week he will enlarge the ramp through the door.
Not trying Churchn Sun, I really just need time for myself for right now. Small Church, 15 people of so. I hope God understands. There were a whole lot of folks praying for me in several Churches, I needed them all. Was I worried?

?? YES, but not for myself, I was worried about Patty. I know where I'm going. I'm going to try to sleep now. CHARLIE.

PRAYERS are what saved my life, I needed every one of them. I'm still pretty weak. I wanted to go out on the porch and shoot my 22 pistol, Patty said NOOOOO way, you SIT. I use my walker in the house, but it wears me out too. This really has me whupped. One nurse actually woke me up to ask me if I was asleep. I said, I was, she said OK, go back to sleep. Well DUUUH, you know that didn't happen. Glad it's over at least for now. I've wondered for years what would kill me first, heart or copd.
The thought of Patty being alone is all that bothers me, because I know where I'm going. Being saved and knowing that Jesus and Heaven awaits is the best feeling in the world. CHARLIE.

The way things are going in this world a lot of us are longing for our heavenly home. But we continue on for our loved ones, in service to our lord. But my brother; jesus will call us one day and our race will be over, and the faithful wil be in the presence of our Lord.

Doris tells me if I die first, she’s going to be real mad at me. Like you, I’m trying to stay and care for her and our kids & grandkids but someday heavens call will be greater and we will be gone. Keep the faith brother Charlie until that day, knowing that Jesus will take care of our loved ones when he calls us home.
