Mounting Marbles #009814 on Win 95 w/tang safety, difficulty
« on: March 08, 2004, 02:05:23 AM »
Gentlemen

What work is involved in mounting the Marbles tang sight onto the Win 1895 w/tang safety?  Does it involve dismounting or changing the safety, or is it simply placing the sight in place and replacing screws?  Is drilling and tapping required?

Inquiring minds want to know, especially those getting a Win. 95!

I can't remember the number of mine, but the Marbles tang sights that are made especially for the tang safetied M95's are a "drop-in" affair, no gunsmithing required.  They come with a screw that replaces the rear screw in the tang and fits pretty well.  This does not replace the safety, just sits to the rear of it.
