Maybe that'll make him famous as a knife maker.
Post a picture when you can.

I'm trying to get photos through, but i changed servers,  from EDGE to Chrome, and am having a problem.  Will get some through soon as I can.
He already gets premium prices for his work.  May produce a line of folders in the near .

Here's a photo of his serious helper, my great grandson ..5 years old.  He "eats up" forging steel..

You can see, he has already chosen his 'favorite' hammer..

A fine looking little guy.   I was my Dad's helper from about that age and it's some of my best memories. :)

I mentioned how my grandson etches his signature on his hand forged knives.  He often works with a   in Fire winner.
Here is a recent blade..with our family ..."The Blood Is Strong" (taken from a Scots highlander term)..also shows his signature.

The entire, knife is forged shaped and finished by him to include stabilizing the wood and shaping and finishing the guard as well.  Nothing you see is "factory"..

Hmmm..maybe FB doesn't like knives featured.

Surprise for me..last night the family celebrated my 85th birthday..and my grandson presented me with THAT knife!

As son as I can manage this CHROME photo system, I will post a photo.

It was a nice gesture, since when he does sell a knife. he gets $400 + or - (correction; often..but not always..He just sold a cable damascus for $200..

Here is a photo before final polish, engraving motto & signature.  It is a large knife, for large hands..the handle alone without guard, is 5 & 5/8 inches long....  Overall length..just 1 foot.

He stabilizes the wood with acrylics and uses almost all burl woods.  Steel; 5160..
