Where do we go from here?
« on: August 31, 2021, 12:33:03 PM »
You will never find a better example of "either learn from history or repeat history" than the Afghanistan withdrawal. President Biden was a US senator and saw the fall of Saigon up close, but he evidently failed to learn from it. Now that the US military is the laughing stock of the world, the nation is at political polar opposites and we have completely failed leadership, where do we go from here? It has become quite obvious that the political leaders are more worried about their own income sources than trying to run the country. Then we have the junior members of congress who just toe the line till it's their turn on the gravy train. Mean while all employed citizens of the USA are left to hold the bag for all of this. Where do we go from here, how is this nation to survive as one or are we destined to become 50 independent nations? Maybe the states will band together to force changes at the federal level. I do not see the economy surviving a switch to socialism without a depression to reset it. I worry that my kids and grandkids will not have the same opportunities that I had. I am afraid that our President doesn't know where we go from here!

Our president is sitting in Florida, because the Marxist Democratic regime stole the election, while the United States Supreme Court sat on its alleged conservative majority thumbs, and refused to hear case after case, after case, and reams of evidence to the facts of that theft.

Joe Biden ain't the president. Hes' the appointed dictator. Kamala "Cackleberry" Harris is the assistant Dictator, and Nancy "Rat Face" Pelosi is the assistant to the assistant.

If the young folks in this country don't step up soon, there won't be a country much longer.

The 2022 elections will be the deciding factor of whether the vote will ever be the same.

Well there is always the hope that Biden will screw things up so badly that the next few generations will never allow a Dummycrat near the White House.  Ole Joe is already the worst mistake that ever sullied the oval office and that is saying a lot when you consider the previous loser Dummycrats that have done their best to disgrace themselves and our highest political office.

I'm actually surprised that the lying bastage is still showing his face on TV, but he is so out of it that he doesn't even know how ridiculous he is.

he will hurt the party but the typical democrat wont admit they are wrong or made a mistake. They will blame him personally and not the democratic ideology. They wont go away. They will regroup again with a more intelligent pick. My guess is a republican will be elected in 24 and the same IMPEACH him bs will start the first day in office and they will use that pot stirring to get support all over again promising things like a pollution free world and electric cars that they know they cant deliver. That is just there way. The democratic spin doctors will burry the biden blunders in a deep grave. Heck there already trying to do it today. My guess is down the line they will be investigated and a couple innocents Cornels or maybe a general will be sacrificed at there alter to take the blame away from biden and the democratic party in whole. probably find one that supports trump so they can blame more of it on him..

After the 2020 presidential election steal, I'm not confident that the Democrats need an election to win. They steal and get away with it.

2022 will be the benchmark for the future. Good or bad.

I agree, and don't believe any future election will be fair. the radical left got away with the biggest theft in our nations history, and nothing was done about it.  The spineless republicans talked about it, but did nothing, and nothing is still being done to make the next election fair. In just a couple months after stealing the presidential election, two senate seats were stolen in Georgia, and again nothing was done about it. How can we have any faith that the next election will not have American hating Marxists placed in stolen senate races?  There is a puppet sitting in our nations presidential seat, that is being controlled by American hating Marxists, and we are banking our hopes on the "next time", with the "we will get-em next time" attitude.  I think our next times are over. I pray that I'm wrong, but we have had decades of next times to make things right in our government, and we just continue to slide down hill from a constitutional Republic that we once were.  For years now our history and Constitution has not been taught in our schools.  Benjamin Rush said,  Freedom can exist, only in a society of knowledge. Without learning, men are incapable of knowing their rights.  John Adams said. "Children should be educated and instructed in the principles of freedom" When is the last time that took place in our schools?  Now our schools are indoctrination cesspools.
 Our form of government now doesn't represent anything close to what was set up by our founders. We now have mob rule where voters have voted themselves goodies from the public trough for years.  Now we have American hating Marxist groups like BLM, and Antifa, that burned, looted, and destroyed city's, and nothing was done to stop them. They tore down statues of Washington and Grant, and nothing was done to stop them. In fact their movement was put on a pedestal by many.   America is now living James Madison's nightmare.

Here is your flaw in that statement.  The simple fact is that like Vietnam, the war was lost due to the civilian leadership.  They have an agenda of nation building, which the Military does not  and should not be a part of.

Our military hasn't been "turned loose" on an enemy since WWII.
The grunts in the trenches are the best military in the world, and yes, Milley and others of his ilk have handcuffed our hero's.
I nearly cry when I see Milley or Austin on TV trying to explain away their bungling.

Biden is not doing any thing, he is the lap dummy for whom ever is actually running the show; their main concern is to keep Biden looking alive enough so the slut vice president does not take charge. >:(

Biden has dementia, and makes for a better puppet. I look for him to stay there until he literately can't read the teleprompter, and talk.  Who knows, Biden probably has knee pads he uses when he visits Xi Jinping.

I dont think the democrats care if she can run things. I think right now there pondering over the fact they used biden as a puppet and everything blew up in there faces and harris is just a fresh puppet that might give them another chance. There basicaly to the point they have nothing to loose by moving the strings over to her.

Where do we go from here? Political Balkanization. Darker Red and Darker Blue states, with darker blue cities surrounded by darker red counties. Compromise and moderation are gone in politics. Politicians who are conservative some times and moderate others will be replaced with no compromise conservatives. Functionally it will be America First vs America Last policies.

Right now the "darker blue" seems to be in charge of elections while the red seems to be all hat and no cattle.

Where do you see that in 2022?

Generally the party of the sitting President loses in the midterms even in a good year, averaging midterm losses of 47 seats ... this has been an epically bad Presidency from all perspectives, so we could have a very good midterm for the GOP. Further, the DNC banked on socialism for the 2020 congressional runs, and it backfired bad. And redistricting from the 2020 census will actually help the GOP in the House - potential of 10 gained GOP seats. There's also a number of seats that barely made majority in 2020, in AZ, IL, IA, MI, MN, NE, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, TX, VA, WA, WI ... 90% of which are Dems barely hanging on.

The House only has a 220 to 211 Dem majority, and the Senate is split 50-50 with Harris as the tie breaker. A net flip of only a handful of House Seats, and 1 Republican seat would lock up congress for the remainder of Biden's first and most likely last term as President. It will be narrow control though, so any moderates/RINOs are a liability, which is why some places are looking to swap out RINOs for America First folks, never mind flip blue to red. It would be phenomenal if we could lock up Congressional control, even pull a majority to unseat Nancy, and then begin the hard work of defunding alot of nonsense.

I cannot help but think Mitch is banking on this when he says we're not going to impeach Biden. He doesn't want anything to get in the way of a 2022 flip of power ... and then they can tie up the WH and run the clock out until 2024.

But as we all know, the GOP can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory; but the America Firsters seem to be very hot to keep the momentum going. The key will be to get Conservatives out to vote.

All this "provided" we have honest elections in 2022. As far as Mitch McConnell, he needs to go home. His wife runs his loyalty.

We only need a few honest elections, sad to say it that way, but its true. I see alot of interest in election reform across all political groups, so at best we might hope that it'll be harder to cheat the previous ways. And you're not wrong about Mitch, but he is after all there for himself, so he will want to build as much power as possible which means he will do nothing to risk a 2022 GOP victory. And if we give him America First Republicans to have to work with, the compromise will be alot better than what we've got now. I'd like to see him run for Pres 2024, which would be all kinds of arrogant, and futile, but not unexpected of him. Certainly make the America First candidates stand out starkly with the voter base. But I think the long game right now needs conservatives to take state governments, and hold them, so some of our best candidates should probably focus on state elections in the near term. I chuckle when a Fed agency threatens to cut off funds to a state ... the state should just cut off sending money to the Feds - who runs barter town? FL and TX and ND have shown what strong state leadership can be like.

If we had an honest election trump would still be president.  You are certainly more optimistic about another fair election than I am.  How will all Senate elections be fair? what has each state done to make them fair?  They only need to steal a hand full of senate seats, and its over.
Really?  Where is the interest at? When you say you see a lot of interest in election reform across all political groups. Do you mean democrats also?

Bill HR 1, called For the people act. introduced by the democrats, and passed by the House in March is nothing more than allows a federal takeover of elections, and institutionalizes election theft. the Dems have been doing a good job at stealing elections without this legislation. All HR 1 does is makes election theft easier, and surer for them.  They want to expand early voting, allow same-day registration, and lowering identification requirements. The bill would also restrict the removal of names from registration lists, It would also expand mail in voting.
 The democrats have fought tooth and nail to keep voter ID requirements out of elections.  The bill would make it illegal for any state to pass a voter ID law.  Also registration is pushed further in this bill because democrats don't want elections to depend on accurate databases.   The democrats have even talked about doing away with the filibusterer, so this can be rammed through the senate.   This does not sound to me like any attempt to curb voter fraud, but only bolster it.  The "For The People Act is not for the people at all".
Georgia is the only state that I know of that has passed a voter bill to stand up against the Feds. Its Bill SB 202, and one of the requirements is the last four of your SS number.  Every state needs to pass voter ID laws, requiring a SS# to vote. Its the only way to make voting fair.
If HR 1 makes it through the senate the SC should find it unconstitutional, but who knows they may let it slide just like they did Obamacare.  I'll believe election reform when I see it. Talk is cheap, and the republicans are good at talking, with no action. In fact they are masters at it.  All the hot air that was blown during the hearings for election fraud was just that. There was enough proof for the swing states not to certify the vote, yet they did anyway.  I guess republicans didn't want to make much of a fuss since they enabled the cheating, with laws they helped pass themselves, like they did in PA.

That's the way I see him, but I hear complaints from some Texans that I don't understand.
One is why he doesn't put more National Guard on the border. He just empowered the Guard to make arrests alongside the Texas Department of Public Safety on criminal invader smugglers.

  From Bug...  " Our military hasn't been "turned loose" on an enemy since WWII."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  You are pretty much correct, with one exception.  That exception seems to be Desert storm..
  For some reason, it looks  like Bush sr., allowed Gen Schwartzkopf to take over the operation.  US forces
  destroyed the world's 4th largest army in what is called .."the 100 hour ground war".
  Yes, he was ordered to stop before crushing Baghdad, but right or wrong, there was some concern that Iran
   could fill the vacuum that would left if that came about
  For the most part however, I would echo president Trump.."don't participate in any action we don't intend to win".
I believe Gov Abbott tries to do
good things, but Austin is so
cram packed with yuppie liberal
socialist imports nothing positive
will ever get done again.
We've got so many latins right
here that are making a comfortable
living from exploiting the border
jumpers,  we'll never see any positive
action on that front.
Too many apartment complexes, tote
the note used car lots, Medicaid clinics,
Immigration lawyers, specialty
grocery stores, restaurants, clothing
stores,  clubs ( ESPECIALLY CLUBS)
and related things all lined up to get
their piece of the border jumper pie
Well, if you that live in Texas are tired of Abbot I will gladly trade you a New Mexico governor, two senators, and all the damn represenitivesminthe in the state except one for him. I will be honest though and advise that you would be getting the short end of the stick in that trade
