Woke Up This Morning In A 2nd Amendment State. TEXAS!
« on: September 01, 2021, 12:54:46 AM »
Good new, as of midnight Texas became a "Right to Carry" state joining numerous other states.
I'll keep my carry permit for the travel into other states.

The down side midnight last night is, Texas announced that Fentanyl seizures at the Texas border is up 230%.

Thank you Joe Biden.

Yessir, of course, that's just what
they caught.
My buddy used to say, and I'm beginning
to share the opinion that we need a
dope kiosk in strategic locations
throughout the neighborhood here,
and the officials can have it restocked
every week. It would be emptied every
week for the first few times, then
less and less as people overdosed
and died, and others began to see
first hand the effects of casual
drug use. Eventually, the kiosks
would no longer be necessary and
could be dismantled
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

How driven some addicts are..  My friend Mike, who retired from big city police a few years ago informed me of some of the madness that takes over these sad cases.

He said that often when they would get a call where some addict had gotten some extra strong dope, and died from it...that the other addicts would be inquiring where the dead guy got his last drug buy from..because it must have been  "good stuff" !!

Yep, that's how the mind of a hard core addict works.

I always wondered why Texas was so anti handgun but it seems they have finally caught up with a lot of the rest of the states.

Real Texans have never been anti
gun in any way
It's the out of staters that move
here from lib yuppie areas where
they've ruined their economy and
saddled the residents with bureaucratic
nonsense, then they flee to places
like Austin and bring their socialism
and lefty mindset with them, and
for whatever reason expect a
different end result other than
the ruined place they evacuated.
Used to be a fantastic place
That's the high points,  although
I could expound on the subject
for many paragraphs
At least we can still properly
punish the murderers here in
the correct fashion, even if it does
take way too long
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

The so called "Constitutional Carry" that went into effect today is not what it is being touted. One good example is prior to this going to a state park with your handgun in your vehicle was just fine. As of today that ended unless you have a license to carry. There are many more examples of things that changed and not for the better with this new law, I would suggest everyone in Texas do some digging into the changes and not assume you can carry your weapon anywhere you want.

Do a little googling on Texas gun laws, Ranger, and you will find that Texas was very high on gun control for many years. My computer skills are such that I can't post a link but it's easy to find. I agree that real Texans have never been anti-gun but the politicians certainly were. I am Texas born and bred and it was illegal to carry a handgun when I lived there. I did about the same as everyone else and carried one when I wanted but kept it out of sight. Imagine my surprise when I moved to NM to follow my job and found you could just legally strap one on and go about your business and no one paid any attention to you..

Called a friend of mine that is Chief of the national parks here, and he knew of no such change.
Said you could carry your car gun, just leave it in the car unless you have a ccw.

21 states are now constitutional carry. Pa has a republican legislature but is still not a constitutional carry state. I think its going to be voted on soon in the house. Even if it passes our POS Marxist governor Tom Wolf will veto it and there will not be enough votes to over ride the veto.

I'm looking for this change and can't find it. I have family members that don't have a license. But keep a pistol in their vehicles.
Went through most of what you posted  but didn't see it. Help?
