Texas' Only Chance At This Point? SECEDE!!!
« on: September 18, 2021, 03:50:15 AM »
Texas needs to entertain once again, only on a more serious note, the idea of SECESSION.

Austin might be shocked at the support they might get from real Texans.

A pac with Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, definitely Oklahoma, and possibly Arkansas, and Missouri.

The No Longer Hiden Biden Regime is intentionally trying to break our economic back, and force Texas into Democratic submission.

We as Texans need open rebellion, this has gotten crazy down here.

We have little stick houses going up in our border towns an their not even Spanish

Haitians really?

We will eventually have to drive the drug cartels out of Texas.  This has gotten way outta hand, and guns may be the only way to fix it.>:(

While I would prefer Kalifornia secede and several other libs states, if I lived in Texas I would be pushing for it.  You're big enough and have plenty of resources and coast to pull it off.  The only hitch is you have no military and would need the US or Mexico to protect you short term anyway, which would cost dearly based on the form of departure and attitude toward their cartels...

I don't know how many would have
the guts to follow through.
I've about given up on a lot of people
I always thought were staunch patriots,
but a lot of them are pretty much couch
potatoes that have gotten too comfortable

Texas lost the right of secession when they rejoined the union after the civil war. It will take a rebellion to leave. I doubt Texas can stand up to the US when it comes to an armed conflict and that is what they will have to do. Slo jo and the democrats would love that. Can't beat them in the courts so defeat them militarily when they decide to leave.

I am not saying that secession is a bad idea for Texas, just that they can get it done is not going to happen.

Article 1 Section 10 of the United States Constitution lists all of the things the states cannot do.
No where in the 10th Amendment does it prohibit ANY state from withdrawing from the Union.
In other words the power of secession is left to each individual state, and their population.

Some folks, around the state, need to start petitions that would show your legislature that the people would have their backs.
It can be done IMO, and you could probably do it in a year.

Getting enough ligitiment support inside the state would most likely be difficult.
The key would be surrounding states support.
I personally don't believe Texas will survive economically for 3 more years of The No Longer Hiden Biden Regime at the borders present rate of deterioration.
I think The No Longer Hiden Biden Regime consciously intends to let it get bad enough that they can justify sending in federal troops, and take over our state government deeming it ineffective.
There is no other reason to allow what is happening down here.

Indeed ... we are a nation founded on the principle of consent. People consent to be governed. States consent to be in the Republic. The founders rebelled against a non-consensual relationship with a tyrannical central government. The "union" may have won a very bloody war, but that did not change the law of our nation. Those that imagine a state cannot survive outside the union have no clue how much revenue exists in states. I for one would rather see a peaceful dissolution of a very broken federal relationship, than another bloody war and establishment of a violent tyranny that may retain the name USA but share none of its values and principles.

By all means, secede, and reengage other like minded states to form coalitions by consent and preserve the ideals of liberty that are being stripped away. The world will move along without us, and we might spare a generation or two of the insanity and hostility we are hellbent for right now.

There are many states, on opposite ends of the political spectrum even, that have a large secession movement at work even now.

It is true that nothing in the constitution says that a state can not withdraw from the union. However the Supreme Court ruled before the civil war, that a state cannot withdraw. While the southern states were rebelling they were still considered to be states. The Civil War was not an attempt to withdraw lawfully. If Texas tries to do now it will be another fight exactly like before.

The Supreme Court is not a law making body. They cannot pass laws, but only interpret existing law.
The 10th Amendment to the Constitution stands against that.

Actually the only time secession has ever been brought before the Supreme Court was 1868 "White vs Texas" which was actually about Federal Bonds owned by the State of Texas and sold.
The Supreme Court ruled in favor of Texas, citing that Texas had never officially left the Union.

Not sure what you mean by that.  The legislatures of the southern states voted to secede, thereby making it lawful.

It's because of outside influence and
people moving in not to blend in, but
to get away from the mess they brought
about in other places, and they brought
