7-30 waters 120 gr V-max
« on: March 08, 2004, 12:46:44 PM »
Does anyone have a load for a Hornaday 120 gr VMax using H335 in the 7-30 waters cal ? I have a load for the 130 gr single shot pistol bullet and I am tempted to drop it 10% and try it out. The TC has a 14" barrel and I am using CCI large rifle primers . I don't shoot the pistol enough to get competant with it and I thought I might try the 7-30 instead of the 223 Handirifle a bit this summer . Thanks in advance ......... 8)

Part II -  The Sierra 130 gr Spitzer that I reload now is 1.030". The V-Max is 1.1" . The book calls for an OAL of 2.55" . Should the TNT OAL be 2.62"
(2.55" + .07") ? Otherwise the bullet will be seated  .07" deeper into the case .  Thank you for the above information . 8)
