   THe left is going bonkers over the phrase. An AP "crime" reporter was apparently doing a story on the ..ugly and reprehensible .. phrase.  So she jumps onto  a Southwest plane, hoping to trace the terrible, toxic roots of the term.

    Oh,oh..the pilot makes a crack about "let's go Brandon".....  Ye Gads! ..Suddenly it is tizzy time..and she tries to break into the pilot's cabin.

Hey Dee,

Appreciate you asking, drove to Odessa, Tx for the regeneron monoclonal antibody infusions for the three of us yesterday morning and then returned back home yesterday evening. Darn good staff at the infusion center, they were courteous, professional and compassionate. A bonus was the entire staff had a great sense of humor and were very personable. Miss Bev and I tend to give each other a hard time all in good fun to lighten bad situations and we had a good time with the staff and the doc. My wife and her mother are asthmatic and as everyone can imagine had/has me really concerned about them.

My wife's mother called this evening and wanted to know what I was cooking for supper tonight so she's doing better. My wife is not coughing as bad and has been up and stirring around a bit today. Looks like they've both started on recovering from it and prayers answered for their turn around. Covid for me has been nothing but headaches comparable to the migraines I get on occasion, altered smell and taste and fatigue.

Being originally from the west Texas area I try to keep up with what's going on out there. A long time acquaintance/friend has a talk radio station in Midland and I listen via the internet. Months back they had a local doctor on their morning show who announced the opening of the infusion center. The Texas Department of Emergency Management partnered up with Regeneron and has opened quite a few infusion clinics across the state to help treat covid patients at no cost to the patient if they meet certain qualifications like high blood pressure, diabetes, asthmatic etc.. My wife and I had/have some serious doubts about the vaccines because of the lack of long term trials and decided the regeneron monoclonal antibody infusion treatment was the best way to go for treatment if we caught covid. The infusion treatment has been around for years and used to treat cancer and other health problems, it was demonized by the woke left because Trump was treated with it when he caught covid and buried by the national media willing to play politics with everyone's health. It was really as simple as picking up the phone, scheduling an appointment and bringing our positive covid tests with us when we got there. We filled out a few forms and verified what our comorbidity was and that was it. If I remember correctly the treatment has well over a 70% success rate in preventing hospitalizations and deaths. All that aside, it has a proven track record and history on treating other health problems versus the mRNA vaccines that don't.

Yeah really! Never could figure out how they get so many viewers and participants to watch cars go around in a circle.  I tried watching it a couple times over the years, to try and see what the attraction was. Never once did I think I wanted to watch it again.

I'm diabetic (type 2) and need to remember that infusion procedure if I ever get covid.

     Most miserable experience  I ever had was going with a uncle of mine to Talladega back in the early 70s  ,with no hearing protection  .  I think most go to drink & party maybe  that drowns out the noise .  I wouldnt go back even if  they let you  in free .

Little things like adding one pound of air to just one tire could change a bad handling car into a good handling car, changing spring rates, moving the rear end left or right.

But now, since they went "woke" I'll leave it to the drinkers.

NASCAR has joined the rest of the woke professional sports like the NFL, NBA, and MLB. This year was the first time in my life that I didn't watch one inning of baseball, and that included the world Series.  Just to add I haven't watched any NASCAR, NBA, or NFL either. Hockey is the only sport they haven't ruined yet.

I used to watch it all the time. If your not a car guy you probably dont appreciate the skill in building a winning car or the skill it takes to wheel one. Those nascar drivers today are just as much athletes as any sport. But the woke bs turned me away from football first then nascar. But if you call it boring then someone hitting golf balls around, dribbling basket balls back and forth on the court of watch football players march up and down a field with rules today that make it about like the touch football we used to play or baseball must be about agony. All sports are about like watching a car go around. Mostly repetitive. I didnt quit watching nascar because it was boring. To me running around a trach at 200MPH!! basicaly sliding around at the edge of control for 500 miles is amazing. The skill it takes is not only amazing but so is the fact they can build a car that will do it lap after lap screaming at 9000 rpm. Most of us are beat after a 300 mile drive at 65. Fastest ive been in a car is 160 in one of my vettes on a straight away in the middle of no where with no traffic and two lanes to use. If you drove that fast youd know that compared to 160, 100 feels like you could get out and walk. I cant imagine driving a car 200 mph on that same straight away let alone 2 inches from someones bumper another car a foot away on the side and another a couple inches off your back bumper. The mental consentration must be completely exhausting. Yup its boring to some. But most of those guys are prius drivers or guys that have never seen 80mph and just arent into cars. A good many of them think golf is exciting. Heck many of us think sitting at the range banging on a 25 yard steel target is exciting. I only raced a stock car one time in my life and it was very exciting. I have raced motocross and snowmobiles for years and to me theres nothing much more exciting then unleashing horse power. the politicaly correct wokeness ruined nascar for me. Surely not boredom.

I got my motorcycle up to 100 one time and felt like it was gonna take off and fly.
I stayed down around 70 after that.

NASCAR car started it death roll when they switched to totally tube frame bs cars; it became a joke when the snot faced liberal France grandson took over some time back.

It was Rugby.
I guess all the protective stuff has gotten rid of real men.

i used to laugh at what other countrys call football because it was so lame. with all the rules in our football its our version that is lame. Same goes for nascar. This year they penalized a driver by putting him 3 laps down for knocking out another driver. Old Dale Ehrhardt must of have rolling over in his grave.
