Bought a wok this week
« on: November 08, 2021, 02:28:48 PM »
Been wanting to try one for some time so I got one this week along with a couple Bamboo spoons and the trial run was fried rice and I must say it turned out real good. The Receipt called for a scramble egg. but not for me next time I will leave that out. My older son said his friend fries fish in his said they turn out real good. Tomorrow I will give it a second run but will also cook some chicken tenders in it to see how that goes. When I can get some snow peas I will give them a try. Amy of you fellows use one?

Mine is stove top non stick 7 bucks at our local WalMart They have them up to 40 dollars but I went for the cheaper one figured if it was something I did not like I could toss it and not be out much, mine has the wood handles and looks like the Chinese ones but then I guess it should as it is made in china as most of what they sell is from China. I do try and respond to other questions ask if I feel I have something to add on the subject. Some post I don't have any experience on so I don't respond sorry for that.

I've had a couple for a very long time
I've got the centuries old style steel ones
with a wooden handle on one side and
the steel loop on the other
I use the steel spatula i got from the
vietnamese grocery store
I was told years back that they designed
woks for cooking on fires way back when
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .
