Dee, I'm with you on all accounts, until you call him a hero for doing it.

He certainly did what was right, but that doesn't make him a hero in my mind.

Well, we don't have to agree on everything.
I just feel like everyone that goes out voluntarily to protect property, and put out fires protecting other peoples property is a little bit of a hero.

Rittinhouse isn't a hero for shooting 3 people, hes a hero for not laying down to an oppressive government, and surrendering his rights.
He's an example to others who might find themselves in a similar situation.

I believe there are misunderstandings here. I also think he is a hero for going and trying to help in a real crap show where he knew he could get hurt not for shooting those three. Butt. They sure deserved it and the kick boy should have been shot too.

That is exactly right. Every male in that city had a moral obligation to go out and protect their town from burning down.  Kyle was maybe one of the very few that did that while not owning a business in that town.  A 71 year old friend of a business owner got brutally beaten because he tried to help. Where were all the other people in that city? They were hiding in their houses while criminals destroyed their city.  Yes Kyle is a hero for going out and trying to stop criminals from burning the town down where his father lived.

Of course its not over TM. He'll have to watch his own back for the rest of his life. I know what thats like.
There'll be places he can't go, and the media will badger him constantly.

He said in his Tucker Carlson interview he planned to relocate.

When he does, somebody will get a good citizen.
