Anybody here directly affected by the high winds?
« on: December 12, 2021, 12:05:48 AM »

We spent last night in the middle of the tail winds, and they were bad enough. Concern and prayers go out to those caught in the middle of this storm..

All that weather ya'll got, or are getting, came through here first, and grew in intensity.
We got 70+ mph winds, but no rain.
The west side of my house lost a bunch of shingles, and hopefully our roofer will be here Monday.
But it doesn't compare with what Tennessee, Kentucky, and Illinois got when the cold front picked up moisture.

I lost power also. Generally if outages are widespread, I'm one of the last to get power restored, but there must not have been that many, because my power was out for only 4 hours.

55 mph was as high as it got here. Just another day on the south plains. I did have to set my trash can up twice and there are a bunch of tumbleweeds in my fences but that's it.

Got lucky here
Spared the damage others had.
A few limbs down.
Very very strange. Id been to the
store to get a few small items and
it was sunny t shirt weather.
Not long after there was thunder and
hard rain and wind. It got way colder
and I had to go out and wrap the
north spigot because the temp
fell so much
I don't think the "news " people saw
this coming here
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .
