Yeah, I got it.  Had family coming to visit with small children a while back and thought I'd err on the side of caution.

I did the same with the flu shot. I was coaching youth wrestling. (Again). And wanted to protect the children. Ya know? Taking the high road. Had not taken a flu shot since the military. Parents still dropped off their rug rats running a fever, coughing, and even puking on the mat... Have not taken one since.

Dee. I suggest a search on wnd.com. Of course all leftist leaning sources of information will screech “conspiracy theory far right rhetoric”  That should be a clue Sherlock. This is a Christian news source. So. Conspiracy theorists. Of course...

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is. "I got the vaccine, because I'm around children".  Kids have a zero chance of dying from covid, and if they do get it their symptoms are very mild, yet people act like its a death sentence for kids if they get covid.  I know a lady that had a two month old baby, was breast feeding, and she had full blown covid. The baby was not affected by it at all.  I know many other family's where a parents had covid, and the kids were not affected by it.  As we have seen in the past. Children are used as tools, to play on peoples fears, to further an agenda.  Kind of like, "oh my, but what about the children" In the case of covid, the agenda is to get people to line up for the jab, and strip liberty.   Now people are abusing their children by getting them the jab, where they are much more likely to be injured by the fake vaccine than any variant of covid they might get.

My 24 year old granddaughter got covid  and her 6 month old daughter caught it from her.
The baby was a little sick for a couple of days and bounced right back. Granddaughter was sick about a week.

This month, my 37 year old niece got to feel a little off. Her and her husband went to a clinic and both tested positive for covid-19.
Both immediately took the infusion and ivermectin. Her symptoms never got worse, her husband never really had any, and their two boys, ages 10 and 13 never got it.

Yeah, kids for the most part don't even know they have it. After me and the wife got COVID we got our kids tested for antibodies, because our school has a policy that you have to stay home if someone in the house has COVID, but if they have the antibodies for COVID they can go back.  Both tested positive and never knew they had it and they never passed it to us either.  My son lost taste and smell for a few days over the summer but had no symptoms beyond that.   My daughter had a mild cold that we think might have been it?  Who knows...

same thing with the shot. Bottom line is there is no perfect defense against it and i guess you have to keep in mind that many vaccines are developed over YEARS of research and the covid one only months. Is it effective? Probably is it a foolproof guarantee you wont get it? Nope. But the exact same thing can be said of natural immunity. My sister got covid so had natural immunity and got all three shots too and caught it a second time. Lucky for her she got moderately sick the first time and mildly sick the second time. I could look at myself and say i got all three shots and havent had it once but then im not out in public near as much but my wife works at the local hospital and she got all three and even working there hasnt got it. Bottom line is this is so new that the doctors dont even totaly understand it and im sure as hell not taking advice off of a outdoors forum on the internet by so guys that probably barely made it through high school and wont bash anyone either way for there decisions. want to get my attention show me your infectious disease expertise credentials and not some off some fly by night conspiracy theory webpage. I was a lineman for 30 years. I sure wouldnt take advice from a doctor on building a line and wouldnt take advice from other lineman on beating covid. Truthfully it makes me shake my head. When aids came out billions went into research for vaccines and treatment. now we have covid and its the same. Id bet if they put that much effort into cancer it would have been cured many years ago. This is the perfect diesese for the research people. They arent just dealing with gays that many dont care about. Its everyone rich poor black or white. They even have most of the country thinking treatment is free. Far from it. We all pay for it with our tax money and the way its destroyed our economy. Biden would have you think hes footing the bill. where are we now? About where alexander fleming was in 1928 when he grew the first penicillin in a Petrie dish. If even that far. Take it or dont take it. Either way your rolling the dice and are no more right then the guy that rolled them and decided differnt

I think you made the right call not to get jabbed.

I got jabbed last spring so I could see Mom who is in late stage cancer - were it not for that I would not have done so. As it is, my fully vaxxed command has to wear masks at all times ... fully vaxxed, and 50% boosted. Similar command across the road from us just had an outbreak amongst fully vaxxed, mostly boosted, and masked members. We're in HPCON C seriously talking about going into HPCON D, and I think the only reason we haven't is Christmas. I predict we'll go into it in January, and they'll claim we weren't safe over the holidays. Cancelling my retirement ceremony - can't have unvaccinated family or church friends come on base, won't do it over zoom. If jabs worked, we would be living like its 2018.

My son tested negative today. Fusion and ivermectin pulled him back pretty quick. I asked him if he'd wished he'd took the jab, and he said no.

I think your testimony proves pretty much what I've been thinking.

well im a lineman not a doctor. So my opinion should be taken with that in mind. What i know is what i see and i dont know a single person that died from the vax or died after having it. 5 people in my immediate family had covid. Two my mother at 88 and my dad at 90 came through with just mild symptoms. We live in a very rural area so its probably not a good cross section of the entire country but like ive said ive yet to hear on the news of anyone who had the vax and die from covid. Including young people. So if an under 18 person has a 30 fold greater chance of dieing from it logic would tell me at least one case would have been on the news and yup everyone up here thats died from covid is carried by the news because frankly theres not much happening in the news here and they have to write about something. To me its a personal decision. Nothing else. I dont need someone telling me i should buy a ford instead of a ram and i sure dont need the goverment trying to force me. But i also dont need someone searching around the internet for the 1 percent of ram buyers who thing they got stung. I dont need a bunch of liberal college idiots wasting my tax money doing this research either. If your anti vax i have no problem. Its your body and your life. But i dont need constant every day bashing of my decision either. There is no way someone on an outdoors forum is going to really be the deciding factor in if i take the shot or not.

If advice here on something as serious as a medical decision that was the difference in dying or not was taken serious by me it would make me on dumb sob. I guess i look at it like this. I had all three vax's. Havent had covid. No doubt at one time or another was exposed. Heck my wife works every day at the hospital in admitting. Havent had even a sore arm from the vax. So did i make the right decision? Heck i dont know but so far so good. Ill just say this. A good many here have had the vax. Raise your hand if it killed you ;) or gave you serious medical issues. Now raise your hand if youve had the shot and had covid too (yup it happens and happened in my family) Now raise your hand if you had the vax and got seriously ill from covid after the vax. Thats all the knowledge i care to gleam from a outdoors forum. talk about your experience with the 3006 or 44 mag and im all ears. But i think ill let my doctor guide me in a medical issue that just might kill me. TM7 I respect the schooling and experience you have but you are NOT a doctor and about everyone here knows your an conspiracy theorists. In the big picture theres nothing wrong with watching our government closely. Ive been called the same by some democrats i know. But personally, if im going to roll the dice and follow someone's advice on medical issues, advice gleamed here sure isnt going to mean much of anything to me. Like i said, that would make me one dumb sob. If i was going to buy a ford and a million people said it was the smart thing to do and 2 or 3 said if i buy it im surely going to die in a wreck 5 years from now who do you think id believe?

If I limited what I know to what the MSM tells me and personal experience, there's a whole lot I would not know.

Its pretty easy to look up all the scientists TM7 cited, in fact I did. In fact, I did more reading in medical publications by virologists, immunologists, epidemiologists, medical researchers, doctors, people who are neither a line man, a chemist, or a military officer. I found that they're pretty open in their skepticism about the efficacy of the vaccines, mask mandates, etc. Its widely understood that the vax is a greater health risk to people under 30 than the virus, to the point the military is "considering other options" to requiring everyone to get boosted. We have lost young healthy military members to the vax. The head of the CDC has said the JJ is ineffective; the whole point of the booster is because the original jabs didn't last very long. Again, why are places that are 100% fully vaxxed and many boosted, wearing masks if the jabs work.

So its not really a matter of whether or not claims of vax deaths or inefficacy of the vax are true, its why isn't the news reporting it?

There has been no longitudinal study to support the claim that the vax reduces symptoms ... its a common myth, just like we used to say getting the vax would prevent us from getting it. We know that was never true, and likewise we have no evidence to support the claim that the vax reduces symptoms. We have known that the risk of death approaches zero for over 98% of people, and that has not changed.

If you need experience, I have known personally quite a number of otherwise healthy people who got covid, felt bad a few days, and recovered - no vax, no treatment. Just as you would expect from a coronavirus. And now Omicron is widely known ... not believed, known ... to be much less severe than Delta, even if it is vaccine immune and more easily transmittable. Since that is known, and not being debated in the medical community, why are states returning to lockdowns and mask mandates? Its clearly not because they are following the science.

i guess we will have to agree to disagree. Theres truth and bs on both sides of the argument. Like i said ill stick to my opinion because of what ive seen with my own two eyes not what people looking for there 5 minutes of fame on either side are trying to push or for sure someone on an outdoors forum. If it costs me in the end then so be it. I seriously doubt any intellegent persons opinion is going to be swayed on here.

Lloyd, that's all any of us do. The thing I keep in mind is that science is never settled - that's unscientific. Science is a learning process, and what it thought was true last year is not true today. We all should have the humility to admit when what we thought was wrong. I've yet to hear anyone apologize for saying that getting the vaccine would prevent you from getting the virus, and yet that was said repeatedly on the news, by politicians, and some doctors. It was never true, and remains untrue today, but the lack of humility to admit when they're wrong tells me alot about they're character.

Case in point, CDC reported this week that of the first 43 cases of Omicron identified in the US, 79% were fully vaxxed, many of those were boosted. Only 1 was hospitalized, and that for 2 days. Contact tracing shows transmission was from other fully vaxxed, and/or boosted individuals. That's the Center for Disease Control - not someone trying to get 5 minutes of fame.

On Tuesday we will be told that only the unvaxxed are getting the virus, spreading the virus, or being hospitalized for the virus ... none of which is factually true, or supported by the scientific authority everyone is turning to for answers. I will be paying attention to who says that lie, who furthers that lie, and what they do based on that lie.

Good to hear Dee!  Too bad they don't push that monoclonal antibody treatment as much as the vaccine that doesn't do much positive.  Have a buddy that has a kidney transplant and is on immunosuppressants. He all along said if he gets covid, he's dead.  Well he got it and got the antibody treatment and had a milder case than I did.  If you get covid contact your Doc asap and demand it.  A lot of them resist because it's a fair amount of paperwork to get it rolling, but it works! My wife had the treatment as well and next day she was fine.  I hadn't been to my doc in 7 years so he pretty much said I was out of luck unless I came in for an appointment.  So me and the horse wormer took care of my bout of covid...

Nobody on the planet knows for sure what these vaccines are going to do to them, there is no long-term study that has been completed.  Let's say at best these things make you have a less severe case.  The big question is what else are the shots doing inside the body/immune system?  Looks like you will need a booster every 4-6 months.  So, at some point we are going to find out if these things are the next big breakthrough in science or the biggest farce in the history of the world or somewhere in between.

All I know for sure is that the vaxes were supposed to prevent covid, when that obviously wasn't the case we were assured that the vaxes prevented transmission, when that wasn't the case we were assured that the vaxes lessened severity, yet I know many vaxed that had it worse than I did.   They even had the gall to say that the vaxes were better than natural immunity! They also said you would have long-term protection after being vaxed, now boosters are part of your life forever, building whatever they are doing to your systems.  Pretty simple case of follow the money trail to the crooks.

I weighted pros and cons and decided I'd rather take my chances than take an unproven technology vaccine and I'm glad I did.  I made it through covid with little issue, not much more than a bad cold.

Well, I think it is most likely a matter of time before I get covid.
I've prepared as best I know how, with home test kits, vitamins D, C, Zinc, and fruits like lemons.
I've consulted my doctor as to the availability of the fusion, ivermectin, and so on.
I can't think of much else.

Yeah, everyone will get it eventually unless you are going to be living alone under a rock. If you are prepared like that it won't be an issue.   If I hadn't gotten it a few weeks ago I think I would have found someone with this omicron strain and got it intentionally.  Like the old chickenpox parties...
