I tried some paper patched in a .357 Ruger Blackhawk revolver.
18 grains of Lil'Gun launched a 158 grain paper patched bullet at 1560 fps!
Inihilated milk jugs at 25 yards.
I recovered numerous bullets from the snow. It was obvious which ones hit milk jugs and which ones either hit paper targets or missed the jugs.
Interesting note: The bullet I started out with was cast from a Lee mold that mimics a LBT 2-radius wide flat nose. The bullet has a crimp groove, a large lube groove, and a bevel base. The recovered bullets had no bevel base, and no grooves! On a few I can barely make out lines that used to be the grooves.
Now THAT's obturation!
