   I have heard some lefties try to claim legitimacy for socialism, from these 3 verses...but they are only displayingtheir ignorance.  Let's look at those verses..

     45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
 
  Notice..unlike political socialism or communism, those early Christians VOLUNTARILY shared what they had.
 ...And they DID NOT DEMAND that anyone outside their own smallcommunity do the same..

       The way I see the socialists of today..if they want to practice the failed system among themselves, that's OK with me.  ..Biut don't try to shove that stupidity upon the rest of us..

That does not work for them. In their plan we work for them.

I think you miss my point. It didn't work for early Christians for very long. Look at Chapter 5 of Acts. I certainly don't support socialism, you should not either (I don't think you do, by the way).

   Didn't miss your point    Naturally I don't have any use fir socialism..and sure, it was only temporary.  Such a system doesn't work well in small groups..witness how many 'communes' have arisen..then flopped like a fish out of water..the Shakers, Oneida community, Amana community and the ones that arose with the late "hippie movements".
     That should prove to anyone looking toward it, that socialism does not work for an entire nation..without placing the people into slavery..  Consider Cuba, N Korea and Venezuela, just for starters.
