LED light.

Versus: Incandescent, CFL , Halogen. LED hands down. And they are cheaper to buy now,and they use much less energy. And they last longer. I bought a fourteen dollar flashlight and it lights up my entire backyard.

I have about a dozen headlamps. Only problems are batteries, straps, and buttons. That’s why I carry 3 with xtra batteries. Oh yeah. And everything in the woods looks the same at night...

Power consumption high to low is; Halogen (cheap and bright but the highest power consumption by far), Incandescent, CFL (better power consumption than others, but going away I think), LED hands down the longest lasting and least energy - the only problem is the heat they generate which seems to have been solved.

I’m now a firm believer in LED. One 60 watt bulb lights up my entire kitchen like daylight. Where it once took a four foot four bulb ceiling CFL to do that. I bet schools are getting rid of that old stuff.
