Saw a massive Jefferson in front of me. I had four items. This hog had a huge cart with the bottled waters of course. Sure was not missing any meals...
How spell fag ends up with Jefferson instead of hog is beside me.

Huh?

First, maybe I'm just not that observant but I never notice or pay attention to what folks in front of me use to pay for their food. Of course I also hardly ever go to a real grocery store. I most buy at Amazon or a smaller family owned store 3 miles from me.

How can you tell one of these EBT cards whatever that is from any other card used to pay?

What is a "massive Jefferson"? Gotta admit I've never heard that one before, maybe I need to get out more.

Now that's a real HUH??? from me and a head shaker. I can't make heads or tails of it. What do it mean in language an old far like me who grew up in the stone age can relate to?

Hell I thought everyone but me bought bottled water. Kinda like everyone in the world except me has a smart phone. BTW I had one once, smart phone that is, I wasn't smart enough to use it to now Matt has it and I have a flip phone.

OK. Point for point. When ya see a hog of a person in front of you in line at the Cheryl  “point” I stayed grocery and spell check used cheryl” point again I said stated and spell check chose stayed. store with a overflowing shopping cart in the “city” and everyone else is waiting to actually pay for their grocery’s and have only a few items. The one with the overly full cart is the one on welfare. Also they always seem to buy bottled water. I have a water purifier and when I did not I was buying it by the gallons not the Aquafina small bottled variety. 2. The ebt card is a blue card and ya can’t miss it.Spell check also chose Jefferson instead of hog. There is your understanding and spell check variation of massive hog. I also don’t need to be a genius to know that blue card is coming out and neither do those around me.

I’m used to your confusion. Seems to be a common thing here.

I thought all us old farts were supposed to be confused all the time. Hate to think I'm the only one.

Have to admit I dunno how spell check added Jefferson if ya typed hog but what the heck do I know.

As I said I honestly never gaze at the card folks are using so I have no clue if it's blue, green or purple. I have some strange looking ones myself. In fact I think both of my Capital One cards are blue, likely a different shade of blue.

At the little store I shop at I seem to be about the only one coming to the register with the buggy full. If ya saw me whip out a blue Capital One card would ya think me a freeloader bum? I am a tad overweight, OK maybe kinda fat. I kinda like to eat.

Maybe I'll look for one off those blue cards you mention. I'd prolly be more likely to see one in a real grocery store tho I guess. I'm sure folks do use them where I shop as there is a sign saying they accept them.

I do recall long ago when they gave out food stamps seeing folks paying with those.

I guess I never notice what someone is paying with, but the women with a backside as wide as an axe handle is long, and the top of the shopping cart has coke bottles hanging all the way around, kind of make me be a little judgemental.

Likewise I never buy bottle water either. America has become infatuated with drinking bottled water. They think they are getting something better when many bottling companies fill the bottles with a public water source. I have a well that the water is perfectly fine.

Yeah, I never look at other peoples baskets, or credit cards. I don't really care. I do notice odd colored hair, and facial tattoos.

i drink water out of my faucet and have a flip phone with prepaid minutes that about 3/4s or more of those minutes are lost every year because it sits in a drawer and the only time I use it is when i head to camp. As to those cards. Ive always said every county should get a welfare food store that has nothing but necessities. Baby food bread beans cereal ect and maybe for meat just burger or cheap pork cuts.   No steak or expensive food and that is the only place that card should be able to be used at.

Those would be the same shoppers that throw open their car door and let it slam into the vehicle beside them.

I was just ticked off after standing behind a behemoth of a woman with jail tattoos and had to stand there for 10 mins. I had 4 items. I think there should be a separate line for those playing the lottery and paying with ebt cards. My fault for shopping any where near the bus line.

How much they pay for bottles  there ?  I could see that happening ,not only with water  but  the resale for cash on many items .

Showed up at a job site where they busted the glass out of sliding glass windows to get scrap money for the aluminum. Sorry DG butt I’d have to assume “they” were bums...

sister volunteers at a st vinnys a few days a week. They get donations from supplier and stores to give out free. She said a while back the pepsi distributor had about a 100 cases of soda that was expired and left it there. Shortly after people started taking it the local store owner called and complained. He said people were taking it and cracking them open and dumping them in his parking lot to get the refund on the cans and buying cigarettes with the money. he said his parking lot was an absolute mess.

I believe those on the welfare should be given, commodities.  Beans, rice, potatoes,  butter, dried milk etc.

Agreed.
Several  Years ago was in line at the grocery store and a woman tried to pay for dog food with her welfare card. Clerk said you can't do that. So she went and got steak to feed her dog and bragged about it to the rest of the people in line.

If they won't work, feed'em what you want'em to eat.

yup just the basics of what it takes to live. As long as there workers needed signs in every business window and burger king is even offering 14 bucks an hour theres no excuse for them not working

That is the problem. If government would have stayed out of it communities would have helped their own. Might make em even do a bit of work for what they get. Then they would have to be nice or they’d go hungry...
