can you imagine what they think of my 392 challenger with a shield in the glove box and a 9mm ar15 in the trunk! That would probably get me 30 years if all i did was break the speed limit by 5mph in the city.

What is it about those Dodges?  I see those police shows on TV, where those Dodges are running down some pretty exotic machinery.
My friend Alfie, just up the street has a service station and repair shop.  He does all the state police cars for a
nearby SP office (barracks?).. and I was going to ask him..but perhaps you can tell me..

What makes them so hot?  I know they have superior brakes..I've seen Alfie working on them and the brake discs about fill the whole wheel space..  So tell us..what's the difference ?
If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)

most of the police mopars are charger 4x4s with 5.7hemis. You cant get  a 4x4 civilian charger or challenger unless its a v6. So the hemi 5.7 police cars are actually slower then the 2 wheel drive civilian ones. Now what you see on tv is mostly bs. You see then running 6.4s and even hellcats. Chicago pd is a real joke. They have 6.4 durnagos and even a couple hellcat chargers. Now what police dept in the day of radios and helicopters is going to buy a 200 mph charger hellcat for north of 80k. Its just a hour long commercial for dodge. I chuckle at the pretending in chicago where they talk of defunding. Can you imagine the first time someone ask the chief of police how they can afford 80k cars. Actually the charger is loosing its dominance in the police car marked. Theres a ford police only 4x4 suv that has been the big seller lately and its as fast as the 4x4 chargers. Now my 6.4 challenger would eat any 5.7 for lunch and my car has 4 wheel 6 piston brembo brakes. Your talking another 100 hp over the 5.7. THe 5.7 is 375 hp in a car 395 in a truck. the 6.4 is 485 and the hellcat is 717!! Redeye hellcat? 797!!! Id about bet the cops i know (and are my friends) would kill themselves in a hell cat. You can spin the tires punching it at 75mph!!! The chargers were popular police cars because they combined performanc and 4 doors and even 4x4 for up north. In the civilian market the challenger actually outsold the camaro for the first time ever. Its mostly because the challenger is more of a muscle car like we had in the 70s and the mustang and camaro have evolved into sports cars that are lighter and handle better.
